I Will Always Be With You

She turned to Rafe, startled.

"You brought me to a cemetery?" she asked, her tone laced with disbelief.

Rafe nodded, a gentle smile gracing his lips.

"Yes. Come this way," he replied, releasing Callis's hand and stepping forward to lead her.

Hurriedly, she followed closely behind him until they finally stopped before an old grave. The weathered gravestone was covered with green mosses, but the name carved on it remained legible.

With curiosity, Callis read the name aloud.

"Lisa Anne Amares," she voiced out softly.

Turning to Rafe, she looked utterly perplexed.

"Callis, this is my sister, Lisa, the youngest in the family. She passed away at the age of ten," the healer explained.

The Mederian Princess instinctively covered her mouth with her hand. After a moment of silence, she responded with genuine remorse.

"I'm so sorry! I had no idea you had a sister. No one ever mentioned it to me."
