As soon as they got the car engine working, they returned to the last town they had been to, called Zaankhushuu, to replenish supplies that had been lost in the rollover and as a result of the dust; this included water, food and fuel. The village, too, had been hit by the dust storm and its few inhabitants were reclaiming their scattered possessions, herding their livestock and cleaning their houses.
After a kind negotiation, they reached an agreement with a local family to be able to use the modest facilities of the house and wash themselves, heal their wounds and sleep indoors.
