Master Eliot

Chapter 17

(Quick Overview : After the funeral , Eliot is commanded to go the Elder hut for a meeting with the Elders alone)

Eliot's fists tightened at his sides as he faced the village elders, their eyes darting nervously between each other. The weight of their decision was suffocating , thick with tension.

"Exile me?" Eliot's voice was a low growl, his stare piercing through the elders with a mixture of disbelief and anger. "After everything I've done for this village? you will really do this to me"

The elders exchanged uneasy glances, their wrinkled faces creased with lines of uncertainty. "It's... it's for the safety of the village," one of them ventured, his voice stuttering with the weight and guilt of their decision.

"Safety?" Eliot scoffed, his laughter sharp and bitter. "You call this safety? Allowing those murderers to roam free while innocent people are killed in the streets?"

"But we can't risk further violence," another elder interupts, his voice tinged with desperation. "We must protect what's left of our community which is not a lot Eliot you must understand."

Eliot's jaw clenched, his eyes ablaze with a fierce determination. "And you think casting me out will achieve that? Leaving me to fend for myself while the real threats lurk in the shadows?"

The elders shifted uncomfortably, their resolve wavering in the face of Eliot's unwavering stare. "We... we don't know what else to do," one of them admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

Eliot's expression softened, but the fire in his eyes remained undestroyed. "Then listen to me," he said, his tone commanding yet tinged with a hint of desperation. "I don't want to be your enemy. But if you exile me, you leave me no choice but to fight against you and believe me you do not want that." All of a sudden Eliot is letting his anger take over showing no emotions or care.

The elders exchanged nervous glances, the gravity of Eliot's words settling like a heavy weight upon their shoulders. "What... what do you propose?" one of them asked, his voice barely audible above the murmurs of the others.

Eliot's lips curled into a determined smirk as he felt the divine aura through him, his aura pulsating with newfound strength. "You will make me the leader of this village," he declared, his voice resonating with unwavering conviction. "And you will ensure that every soul in this village supports that decision or it will not end well for any of you, make sure no one is aware we had this conversation either."

The elders are shook at the sheer force of Eliot's command, their faces drained of color as his aura has them in a suffocating blanket of fear.

"We... we will do as you say," one of them stammered, his voice trembling with apprehension. "Anything to appease you."

As the elders bowed before him without realising it, their submission a testament to his newfound authority, Eliot knew that this was only the beginning. From now on, he would shape the destiny of the village according to his own desires, no matter the cost.

"I will protect this village i promise , this sacrifice of yours is not in vain i promise" elaborates Eliot not realising what he has become just overnight.

"We understand Eliot , from now on we have our faith in you" one of the Elder speaks.

The rest nod in agreement as well.
