Chapter 10

"What is it this time?" asked Eliot, his voice tinged with weariness.

"We have observed that you have finally utilized your ability," one of the divine beings responded, their voice resonating with a weighty solemnity.

"But I don't even know how I did it," Eliot protested, a flicker of frustration in his voice. "I can't control it or summon it at will."

"Fate has sealed your path, Eliot Grayson," another divine being intoned, their words carrying a sense of finality. "All will be revealed to you in due time."

Eliot's brow furrowed with concern. "But how can I stop my soul and goodness from being stripped away?" he implored, desperation creeping into his tone.

"There is no way," came the solemn response, echoing through the ethereal space. "You must face the consequences of your actions, whatever they may be."

Eliot's expressions turning into frustration "this is not fair...i..this cant be happening to me..i thought things would be better..i don't even know if this is a fever dream or not....I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS YET NO ANSWER HAS BEEN GIVEN I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO , THERE ARE PEOPLE WANTING TO CAPTURE ME OR AS YOU SAID ENTITIES WHO WANT TO HURT ME I AM SO RESTLESS" Emphasises Eliot in his breakdown now on his knees, tears gushing down his face.

"As said before your fate is sealed Eliot , we can not reveal some things to you as it would contest with fate itself and the destiny of yours" explains one of divine beings.

"just let me go now..." requests Eliot

A moment of silence between the two parties.

"Goodbye Eliot"

Eliot is back in his little bed , processing everything that had happened, "I feel alone" mutters Eliot.

He lays down , shuts his eyes and sleeps the night.

NEXT MORNING:

Eliot is walking the village and experiencing all the liveliness it has to offer , just as he is approached by three individuals.

"Hey handsome i'm Tara nice to meet ya" approaches Tara , a young woman of nineteen with chestnut hair, of average stature, and eyes the color of emerald.

"Oh give him a break Tara , not the way to greet someone , i apologise on her behalf i'm Peter this is my friend James and this is Tara" explains Peter whilst interupting Tara.

Eliot shook by this sudden approach "Oh nice to meet you guys i'm Eliot"

"Nice to meet you Eliot , care to join us for some fruit picking?" asks James , young man of nineteen , blonde hair, tall stature, the eyes of almond.

Eliot still confused , "I..i dont see why not"

"Perfect handsome , anyways you single ?" emphasises Tara with a flirty gesture

"Oh leave him alone , don't mind her she is always like this" the other duo say in unison.

"Jinx" replies James imminently.

"oh piss off" responds Peter "anyways lets go Eliot , making friends is truly easy , where you from anyways Eliot" continues Peter.

"I am from a distant village , just here for the time being" replies Eliot , Peter processes it easily , "Oh that's pretty cool , i heard from some villagers that the royal family tried executing you a day or two back..any truth?" asks Peter , as all four of them are making their way to the apple trees.

"Yeah you guys are right but luckily i was saved by a vision by the Gods" replies Eliot

Peter nods with a shocked expression , as James interrupts "You seem like a chill dude i think we all are gonna get along good" , "I am sure of it Eliot , don't mind my jokes back there , welcome to our group" intervenes Tara.

For the first time in a while Eliot had a genuine happiness , as the group continue their journey towards the trees for fruit picking.

As weeks slipped by, Eliot found comfort in the company of Tara, Peter, and James. They explored the village together, but their true bond formed in Eliot's barn, where laughter filled the air. Surprisingly, the royal family caused no trouble during this time. It felt like they were in a bubble of peace, free from worries about the kingdom's politics.
