A Revelation From The Gods

Chapter 4

As the king stood with an air of cocky superiority, his eyes daring anyone else to challenge his judgment, the courtiers remained silent, cowed into submission by the display of power they had just witnessed. Eliot's heart pounded in his chest as he realized the depths of the king's tyranny and the futility of resistance in the face of such overwhelming force.

But just as the king raised his hand to seal Eliot's fate with a single word, a hush fell over the throne room, interrupted only by the soft gasps of the assembled courtiers. For in that moment, the king and queen were enveloped in a radiant glow, their faces awash with a divine light that seemed to emanate from within.

The courtiers watched in stunned silence as the king and queen shared a vision—a vision bestowed upon them by the gods themselves. Their expressions softened, their features suffused with a sense of awe and reverence as they beheld the revelation unfolding before their eyes.

And then, as quickly as it had appeared, the vision faded, leaving the king and queen trembling with the weight of divine revelation. With a newfound sense of humility, the king turned to Eliot, his voice trembling with emotion.

"It seems the gods have spoken," he declared, his tone filled with a reverence that bordered on awe. "They have deemed you to be... more than just a mere villager."

Eliot's heart skipped a beat as he dared to hope that his fate might yet be spared. But even as the king's words hung in the air, the weight of uncertainty bore down upon him like a leaden shroud.

"Bring this one to the grand hall and empty the kingdom of these villagers at once" demands the King. As he walks away towards the Royal Lounge astonished and flabbergasted.

Eliot being in shock with what may have caused this sudden display but regardless being grateful for it. "I wonder what may have happend , the Gods here know me , is God even real, this is confusing me" he thinks to himself while being escorted to the Royal Lounge by other soldiers.

As they reached the Royal Lounge, Eliot's gaze swept across the opulent surroundings, taking in the grandeur and majestic designs. The king sat upon his throne, his expression a mask of regal authority as he awaited Eliot's arrival.

The king, his demeanor now tempered with a newfound humility, regarded Eliot with a mixture of awe and reverence. "It seems the gods have deemed you worthy of their favor," he declared, his voice carrying a weight of solemnity that echoed through the chamber.

"W..worthy and me..are you sure" asks Eliot

"Do not doubt my judgment boy" yells the king, Eliot shook by the dominating aura and power that sentence held. "I can be sure for one thing i am not in danger nor will they hurt me if there so called Gods find me worthy" thought Eliot.

A sudden urge hits Eliot , he stands up with a immaculate posture and aura "Very well then let me out of here at once and do not think about defying my request my lord i am important to the Gods themselves" Eliot demands , The king is shook no one had ever spoken to him this way before , the soldiers are in shock drawing there fully black swords at Eliot. The swords are swirled with magic in them capable of mass destruction. "What why did i just do that who did i think i was oh my goodness i am so.. dead" Eliot thinks to himself.

"You are brave boy , lower your swords soldiers and escort him out, though i shall say i will need your attendance in this kingdom tomorrow noon sharp do not keep me waiting" The king answers. Every single soul that was present in that room was in shock.

"U..understood" replies Eliot , as he walks out thinking to himself how he just got himself out of death's mouth itself.

After being escorted out by the soldiers , Eliot walks towards the same village he was captured from thinking to himself through the journey, "Who really saved me , how can i be someone important to the Gods , what if that has something to do with my sudden migration to this world".
