As soon as Professor McGonagall left, the crowd suddenly became noisy, and the freshmen exchanged excitedly, guessing with each other the method of division and the college they wanted to enter.
"You said, can we be assigned to Ravenclaw?" Hermione touched Jack and asked a little uneasily.
Although the little girl was proud, she was still a little uneasy in the face of the strange magical world.
"Of course." Jack resolutely encouraged: "I heard that Hogwarts has a talking hat. After a freshman wears it, it can assign him to a suitable college according to his personality. ."
"What if, my character is not suitable for Ravenclaw?" Hearing this, Hermione was even more disturbed.
In fact, in the original book, the Sorting Hat rated Hermione as being suitable for Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, but chose to assign her to Gryffindor in the end.
In other words, Hermione is suitable for Ravenclaw.
But in order to prevent accidents, Jack reminded her again how to decide on her own.
"Didn't I tell you before? I've heard of such a method: a strong desire will change the Sorting Hat's mind." Jack suggested: "As long as you strongly express your desire to join a certain academy, the Sorting Hat will consider it. your opinion."
Hermione nodded suspiciously, reassured. But on this side, Ron interjected.
"Why join Ravenclaw? Trust me, Gryffindor is the best house."
He said this in a loud voice, which immediately attracted the attention of the new students around him.
This time, as if he had poked a hornet's nest, he was instantly drowned out by all kinds of words.
Some freshmen retorted loudly, believing that Slytherin was the best academy, some raised their eyebrows for Ravenclaw, and some other little wizards who liked Gryffindor loudly supported Ron.
The scene is as noisy as a vegetable market.
Jack took Hermione and left the center of the crowd, finally getting rid of the noisy freshmen.
"Don't talk to fools, you will be infected," he said.
Hermione was amused by his words and felt much less nervous. The noise went on for a while, but suddenly the sounds turned into high- pitched screams.
A burst of screams like the scene of a horror movie attracted the attention of Jack and Hermione.
They turned their heads when they heard the sound, and the smile on the little girl's face disappeared immediately. She opened her mouth wide and almost screamed.
It's not "like" a horror movie set anymore, this should be "just" a horror movie set.
Twenty ghosts suddenly appeared on the wall. These pearly white, translucent ghosts, whispering as they slid across the room, paid little attention to these first-year students. They seem to be arguing about something.
Compared to the frightened freshmen, Jack was much calmer. Instead, he was very interested in the physical state of these ghosts.
Because throughout the works with a magical world view, only the ghosts in "Harry Potter" have normal minds and are not affected by negative emotions. Except for the fact that it is difficult to affect the real material, they are different from people. They have roughly the same thinking mode as ordinary people, and even have their own society. In contrast, ghosts in other world views, or very low intelligence , has no ability to think; either has hatred, and the thinking pattern is very different from that of human beings; or longing for reincarnation, has no nostalgia for reality, and does not have much joy or sorrow. All in all, they all tend to be inhuman existences.
But unfortunately, at present, he has neither the ability nor enough knowledge to study ghosts, but he is still determined to do a comparative study of these ghosts one day in the future.
Now, Jack could only comfort the nervous Hermione in a low voice. Girls are always afraid of ghosts.
Then they heard the ghost talking to the freshmen.
"New Students!" a chubby monk smiled at them. "I think you're probably going to be tested, right?"
Some students nodded silently.
"Hope you get a Hufflepuff!" said the monk. "I used to go to that house."
"Move forward now," said a shrill voice. "The sorting ceremony is about to begin."
Professor McGonagall is back. The ghosts drifted in a file and disappeared through the opposite wall.
"Now, in a single line," Professor McGonagall said to the first-year students, "follow me."
Following the crowd, Jack passed a double door and came to a luxurious restaurant.
They had never imagined that there could be such a magical, beautiful and magnificent place. The other classes of the academy were already sitting around four long tables, above which thousands of candles floating in the air lit up the dining room. On four tables were gleaming gold plates and goblets. There is another long table on the upper table of the dining room, which is the seat of the teachers.
Professor McGonagall took the first-year students over there, lining them up facing all the upperclassmen, with the teachers behind them.
