CHAPTER 1.

  My family used to be nicer and kinder but then food started getting scarcer. But they still loved us I thought but that was just naive. After a while the rations from the government stopped and the hunger started festering and growing unbearable. Thats why me and my siblings started begging for food, money, clothes and etc. We made up stories lied and acted, anything to get more food and survival. When we got the food, we were handed scraps while my parents and eldest brother ate like kings and queens. And when we didn't come back with anything were locked in our room. All the while they just sat there, they didn't work, clean, or beg just stayed home. They kept saying " Don't worry honey we leave for work at night and when you leave for supplies". I know this is a lie because one-time brother bragged and went on and on how much he can get done now that he doesn't have a job. But they still loved us, so I didn't care that they were lying. That was until less and less people had anything to spare, and we saw less people on the streets the only time I say someone is when they came out of one of the stores stumbling and bleeding. Apparently, he was trying to steal for the store owner. The owner took the man to the alley, and I never saw him again all I saw was the store owner was smile. Then we were getting desperate we had barely any food and what we did have the kids were not allowed to touch. Everyone was hungry and the money they said they saved up was gone. Turns out my brother made bets with the last bit of money we had he got an earful, but nothing happed after the next day was the same as usual. Until strange men came to the house for the goods and my parents grabbed my hand and dragged me to the strange men. I was confused and scared until the men gave my parents a large case of cash form what it looks like almost and hundred thousand. I was thrilled but wondered how they got such a large amount of cash. " Did we win the lottery how did we get so much money?" I asked and the men and my family laughed, and my brother blurted out " Do you truly not understand that your being sold off. Seriously how stupid can you be." 

 When he said that my heart dropped. Then I saw how the rest of my family snicked and my little brother even laughed. Then one of the men grabbed me and said "we'll take Good care of the girl" as he licked his lips. There was five of them looks like they all have weapons. "This is a joke r-right?" I struggle to get out through my tears. When I said that they started laughing harder as his grip on my arm lessened. " Wow this one is really dumb!!" one of the men said with a chuckle. I'M SCARED. 'I need to run, where to flee.' The back door. No I wouldn't even get to the table before they caught me. Upstairs window no I would probably break somthing.

As I think I hear muffled yelling as one of the men grab my father. " What did you say you want more money she barely worth what we gave you" He says furiously pointing at me. " what she is in prime condition she still pure hasn't been touch and is still innocent and that's hard to find in people nowadays and besides you only gave us enough for a year" He says throwing the briefcase on the floor. If we keep her and rent her out we would get enough money to live the rest of our lives like royals" He says greedily. Two more of the men walk up to my father one grabbing the knife under his coat. " you think we would let you!" As he stabs into my father. As the one grabbing me loosened his grin. " Grab the kids and give the woman to me I haven't been home in a while. The master would like the little one the older ones you can have first taste" He said as he let go of me to reach for his phone. 'This is my chance' I think as I kick the man in his crotch and dash out the door. 'Run run runnn' don't look back just run.' I hear the man yell "Get the girl I don't care if you hurt her just give her to me" He screech's. I hear the men rushing after me. 'Oh no there getting closer.' I hear a loud ringing in my left ear. As I feel a liquid stream down my face. B-blood I look as a piece of my left ear is dangling from my earlobe. I feel a piercing sensation as I stumble but pick myself back up. 'I can't get caught no if I do. I don't even want to think about it.' There getting closer. As I take a sharp turn I see a drop. Oh no. Is there anywhere else I think as the men catch up to me. "Finally we caught you little girl~" The leader says as he rubs his crotch. " stay away from me." I let out as the wave of tiredness catches me . " come on Little girl get away from the edge and we won't hurt you." He says slyly. " I'm tired of this grab her if she tries to run again kill her there better dead than a helpless runaway" he brushes off as they others get closer to me. I try to step back more but there's no more land to stand on as I fall. This is how I did running away from slavers as I see one of the men fire his gun. As it hits my head killing me. " I hear a ding in my head as my vision is obscured.
