A couple of tinted vans halted nearby, and twenty goons shuffled out of it. They were ruthless members of the Mosby gang. Calico ordered them to shut down Jabba’s shop and confiscate his goods. They dragged the corrupt vendor away like an animal carcass, possibly to an unfortunate fate.
The men brought a comfy chair for Tyler to relax and wait while Dwayne was on his way.
“Please forgive my earlier behavior towards you, Mr. Grant,” Calico said with lowered eyes. “Mr. Mosby will punish me accordingly.”
“It’s alright,” Tyler replied. “You’ve redeemed yourself. Do you still want the May Sapphire for yourself?”
The gangster shook his head apologetically. “That was a dire mistake I made. The gem is yours and yours only, sir. I will end anybody who contests your right over it!”
Calico didn’t know Tyler’s identity, but Dwayne’s urgent voice had put the fear of life in him. He had never seen his boss so afraid of someone before. Tyler must be a force to be reckoned with.
