New People(?)

After finally eating a satisfying meal for once Paul went to bed peacefully. He dreamt that he was still in the past along with everyone he knew. His dreams kept going through his happy memories filling him with sadness and regret. By the time he woke up it was late morning. He felt a slight wetness on his face only to realize they were his own tears.

Today he had planned to go out and explore his surroundings. Though not to far, just enough to get a general feel for where he was staying. With that idea in mind he set off in a random direction. As he was wading through the dense underbrush he suddenly felt an odd shaking sensation, like the ground beneath him was vibrating.

He could tell from that whatever was causing the shaking was coming closer and that he Paul a weak chicken wouldn't be able to do anything to it. So he set off running in the complete opposite direction. But the shaking seemed to almost be chasing him as it just got louder.

Suddenly he emerged from the seemingly endless forest onto an open grassland. He was amazed for a second but just kept running for his life. With tears streaming down his face Paul was internally screaming at himself "Arrgh!!! Why is this happening to me?!? I should've exercised more back then!".

He suddenly saw a blip in the distance getting closer to him as he ran with all his might. As he got closer he could see that this blip looked to be floating off the ground and actually coming towards him quite fast. Paul looked behind himself checking if whatever was chasing him in the jungle had followed him. Sure enough what came into his vision was another hideous monster with a flower like mouth with razor sharp teeth trying to reach out and grasp him.

This was a very good motivator to run faster towards the floating blip thing in the distance. The blip itself also seemed to be coming towards him at a rather fast pace. Paul thinking "OMG!! I'm saved!!!" Went into a full frenzy and started waving his exhausted arms in the air and calling out "Help", "Please save me", and a handful of "Ahhhhhhhh"'s whenever he looked behind him to see if the beast had caught up yet.

The beast in this short amount of time had closed distance between itself and Paul to no more than a few yards when the blip thing which was only a few meters ahead stopped itself and seemed to be waiting.

Then all of a sudden a laser of some fashion sprouted from the side of the whale like blip and traveled at an astounding speed right through the monster chasing Paul. Inadvertently knocking Paul over in the process with only a few bumps and bruises.

As Paul stood up with the blip directly over him 3 dots launched themselves from the ship like structure and landed around Paul. They were all dressed in the same navy blue colors with masks and goggles on that reminded Paul of a cross between an aviator and a navy ship uniform, that is if he had the luxury of not freaking out how people just jumped from an impossible height like it was nothing and were surrounding him menacingly.

One of them stepped forward towards Paul. Paul on the other hand stepped back twice. The figure in navy robes said something to the others unintelligible. The figure then stepped up towards Paul getting no reaction at all. As our protagonist had fainted standing up.

... (let's just skip to inside the ship)

As has mind gradually awakened Paul was quite shaken as to what happened right before his prompt blackout. Trying his best to get his panic under control he went through what happened.

- big scary monster chased me

- big scary space ship came

- big scary space ship shot laser beam at big scary monster

- big scary monster died

At this point of remembering he felt relieved no more big scary monster with lots of teeth. Going on

- scary people(?) came off of spaceship

- i blacked out

He then realized that he didn't know where he was and where the scary people from the big scary spaceship were. He immediately opened his eyes and tried to sit up. Only to be bonked in the head midway. He realized he was in some sort of pod thing out of a sci-fi movie.

After realizing this he made sure all his limbs were still attached and all his senses were functioning. "Legs, feet, arms, fingers, torso, head, good all my pieces are here" he said checking off all his important body parts. When he completed his check he breathed a sigh of relief. Only to be reminded that he was still stuck in this pod thing.

As he lay there thinking about this predicament "They're going to eat me right?" he heard the loud clang of shoes coming towards him. Though due to his current view he cannot actually see who is coming.

The footsteps get louder and he hears the swoosh of something opening and the humming of conversation outside his pod. As whatever picked him up came closer the closer Paul came to a panic attack. Until he heard a click and the top of his capsule pod thing came off giving him a full view of his surroundings.
