Engagement party

Upon getting home,their parents tell them they are to get engaged the very next day which they fail to object. The same evening,Niki invites Asmita and Mike to the engagement ceremony via phone call since they are considered friends,

Nikita: " good evening Asmita, how are you? "

Asmita: " good evening aunt,you called so late at night, everything okay?"

Nikita: " no problem here,all is fine am calling to invite you to Agni and Jay's engagement ceremony tomorrow "

Asmita: " wow,they are getting engaged and soon am more than happy for them,be rest assured that Mike and I will be there tomorrow "

Nikita: " alright then,good night"

The following day,Nikita is busy with the party planners decorating the house for the evening event. Nikita calls a jewelry and clothes seller to buy an outfit for Agni,

Nikita: " Zara? come here quickly, I hired some sellers so you can choose an outfit for yourself "

Agni: " am here now and I'll choose quickly I have an important phone call... give me a purple dress and a diamond necklace with matching earrings and a bracelet. Done and done bye!"

Nikita: " she is in a hurry,madam do what she asked "

Asmita gets matching outfits for Matteo and herself so she can make Agni jealous at the party. Jaden calls Agni to know how she is feeling about the party,

Jaden: " so miss Agni how do you feel today... happy,anxious or confused"

Agni: " what do you mean? are you trying to me scared or what?"

Jaden: " don't get me wrong now soon to be wifey, I was just curious "

Agni: " am not afraid of anything at all so you go and buy a ring so you can put it on my finger now bye"

Jaden: " wait!...hello?....hello? she hang up,unbelievable, anyways I'll see her at the party"

The party is set and the guests have arrived. Asmita and Mike arrive and Nikita welcomes them and shows them there seat. A few minutes later,Jaden and his family also arrive,they are shown there seats while Jay is taken to his groom chair. After moments of waiting, Nikita goes to Agni's room and brings her down stairs with all eyes on her. Jaden gets up from his seat and staring at her with wonder. The guests give a round of applause for her and she sits on the special couch,

Asmita: " I must say you look beautiful Agni "

Agni: " Asmita? Mike? you came,thank you for coming to the party "

Mike: " you are welcome Zara and by the way you look amazing "

Jaden: " indeed she does, even I never knew she could look as fantastic as a princess"

Asmita and Matteo go on to enjoy the party. Jaden and Matteo get some guy time to chat,Asmita goes on to talk to Agni about the same party,

Asmita: " I must say you are so excited to get engaged aren't you my dear Zara?"

Agni: " am more than excited, are you not happy for me?"

Asmita: " what if this engagement, doesn't go on,what will you do ?"

Agni: " Asmita? you have something up your sleeve,right?"

Asmita: " exactly, the night is so long,better watch your back"

Asmita walks away from Agni but Agni is not afraid. While everyone is busy talking,Asmita takes Jaden aside to talk,

Jaden: " you brought me here urgently hope all is well"

Asmita: " you trust me as a friend don't you Jay? "

Jaden: " of course Asmi tell me what's bothering you? "

Asmita: " it's Zara, she is using you to get what she wants and as a friend am concerned about you "

Jaden: " how did you know,I mean who told you? "

Asmita: " I overhead her telling a specific person all that. She is not good at all. Zara is using you to get to Mike "

Jaden: " but how do I get rid of her,am stuck right now, so help me"

Asmita: " am willing to help you "

Jaden: " its not easy as you think Asmi, unless Zara changes her mind only and only if she does that will the wedding be called off"

Asmita: " there is a way out my dear Jaden. Mistreat Zara "

Jaden: " mistreat her? how will that help?"

Asmita: " treat her badly,disrespect her and do all sorts of things to make her angry to the extent that she will call off the marriage "

Jaden: " you're right,its the only way. Thank you Asmi, only a true friend can do this am truly grateful "

Asmita: " no need to be formal, you're welcome "

Jaden: " I should get going now or people will question my whereabouts "

Asmita: " yes you should get going am right behind you "

Jaden goes back to the function and Asmita is happy with how she poisoned his mind. However, she is not satisfied, she wants to get rid of Agni on both side whatever the risk,

" sorry Jay but I can't leave all to you. I have brainwashed you but I have to hit both sides in case one plan fails. Zara won't give up Mike that's for sure. The only way she will is if she faces death,hahaha "

The waiter is preparing beverages for the guest and he is given rat poison to add to Agni's drink which he does. He takes it to Agni and she takes it. She lifts the cup to sip but Mike accidentally bumps into her and the glass falls to the floor breaking. Jaden steps away to get the engagement ring leaving Agni standing waiting for him. The chandelier starts shaking and comes all way down. Before it could fall and kill Agni, Matteo saves her in the nick of time and out of fear Agni hugs him tightly leaving him confused. All that is forgotten and the couple exchange rings making them officially engaged.
