The friend only I see

You’re my best friend, I’ve known you forever. You’re amazing at anything you do, you’re the kindest person I’ve ever met. But I’m your only friend. Why’s that? ———————————————————————————————————————————————— Tom Evans is Joshua Wilson’s childhood best friend. They’ve been together for as long as Josh can remember. Tom has never been the most sociable, but Josh knows somethings up when everyone goes out of their way to ignore him entirely. He can’t quite understand what’s wrong, he responds to the hostility pointed towards Tom with the same hostility, however, whenever he does he receives awkward or confused looks. Josh can’t comprehend it and decides to just close himself off with Tom, however this only increases the amount of concerned and pitiful looks they receive. An investigation is called on the two, but Josh just can’t understand why. Can Josh prove that there’s nothing the matter, or will something terribly wrong come to light?
