Safety?

It was morning and I was contemplating whether I should get down and see if I could find a way back home, or stay where I was to prevent her from becoming food. Speaking of food... I thought, I could definitely eat something right now. After all who knows how long it would be before I'm found.

I scurried down the tree and looked for edible greens. I might find some reas around this area. reas were large, blue, with a fluffy top. They were ok as a food, if you found seven or eight. They were easy to find because they are hardy as a plant. I looked around and found some near a mossy tree covered in vines. I plucked them by their roots, then snapped off the roots and ate them.

"Fia!" Hearing my name, I said " I'm over here!" A young brown haired man dashed up to me and asked "Where have you been? Do you have any idea how long we've been looking for you? Why on earth would you leave the cave, you're lucky one of those monsterous rita didn't snatch you. You know how dangerous those birds can be." " I'm sorry Onyx, Tio called me a coward, because I don't like fighting and took my food. He said I would get it back if I just walked into the woods and grabbed something that would prove I went in." I replied. "And you listened to him? Just forget it, the Chief needs to decide your punishment. Let's go."

Onyx started walking and I followed him. I wondered about how much trouble she was gonna be in. Leaving the cave without permission or without a warrior was a huge thing to do. Rarely anyone did that because if you didn't know how to protect yourself you could get seriously injured. Especially if you went into the forest. "We're here" He said, snapping me out of my thoughts. Well, I thought, time to face my punishment.
