Nine

I woke up and do my study in the morning waiting for mom to finish her packing. I was waiting for her in the car. Senior exams are not that many so by the end of tomorrow l will be done with the exam thing. Mom later come and l was done with the studying.

Mom dropped me off at school and  gave me the keys. Ethan's car parked next and l didnt realize it. He stayed in the car waiting for mom to leave. "I will miss you mom", I muttered. I never lived a life without my mom. The business trip is going to be for a week meaning she will come back next Tuesday. "I will miss you too sweetheart. Don't forget to lock the door and eat. Sleep early okay and if you needs anything you call me okay", mom said.  I hugged her and watched her disappear. "Hey Kerley", Ethan said getting out of his car. "Hi Ethan", I muttered.   "You okay. Seems like you are worried about your mom", he said taking me to class. "Yeah thats true. I will be alone at home and its scary. I never lived without my mom before", I explained.  "Don't worry my lady,I will tell you later. You better go to class before you are late. Will see you after the exams", Ethan said giving me a hug. I nod and l  also told him to go to his class. I entered into the class and the class was almost full. I hate it because everyone will be gazing at you.  Luckily Miss Miller stepped in.

Economics is not that hard but still l was nervous. I didnt know what was happening to me.  I had my lunch in Ethan's class where Hayle and Justin  will be also.  "Hayle you seems to be busy these days. We no longer have time to be together as friends", I complained.  "Actually its you Kerley who is busy. You are actually avoiding me also. I even talked to Ethan about it but am sure he never said anything to you about it", Hayle said.  "Am sorry then Hayle but you are wrong. Since you started dating Justin everything changed. Justin drives you home and you didn't even Care to know what l was doing. Also about your phone thing, you never said anything. I have been sending some messages and you are saying am avoiding you", I muttered. I was afraid that Hayle will left me alone. I have been trying the best l can to be a good friend to her but she is no longer appreciating me. "Okay you two. Its enough. I will handle this. Don't blame anyone. Just accept it that you are avoiding each other. Thats all". Justin said. I wasn't in the mood of talking anymore. I hate noise and conflict. The doctor also told me not to shout or yell at people so l will not. Ethan was just quiet esting his food. I follow suit letting the ones who have big mouths talk. Justin and Hayle ended up shouting at each other and Ethan took me out.

"Don't listen to them", Ethan said covering my ears.  We went outside and seat next to the parking lot. "Am sorry Kerley for Hayle and Justin's treatment. I will handle the issue with them. Don't take their words to heart okay. They don't mean it", Ethan said embracing me. I nodded and wipe away my tears. "Okay I understand you Ethan. Don't tell them we are dating. Let them live with their lies. I don't care if they still curse me that am single but l have you Ethan", l said tears rolling down my cheeks. Ethan embraced me until l could feel better. At least there was no exam after lunch. I placed my head on his arm. No one said a thing. After that Ethan later took me to his class but l refused to enter. I waited on the door and he took my backpack for me. He took me to class and kissed me on the forehead.
