MAYBE IT WASN'T

He looks at Leansei, who is trembling in fear, panting simultaneously and sweating in the cold weather. Lean intently looked at the blue murcial eyes of Xerchin, but he was confused about what was happening to Leansei. 

"W-what is y--" Leansei couldn't finish his sentences when his darkness was eating his consciousness away. He was about to stumble, but in the fast reflexes of Xerchin, he managed to hold his waist and lean Leansei's body towards him. 

"S-sir." A call came from his bodyguard, but Xerchin only looked at the fragile face of Leansei. 

"Go and buy medicine. Immediately. " Xerchin told him as he gently carried Leansei's body in the bridal way. The bodyguard bowed and left hurriedly. Xerchin closed the door and looked around to find his room. 

He gently placed Lean's body on the bed. Xerchin's usual expression changed in an instant when Lean's tear left his eyes. He sat on the bed as he looked attentively at Leansei's face. He gently wiped his tears. 

"What happened to you? How did you change to someone else? " Xerchin said unconsciously and put his hand on Leansei's forehead. He minced when Leansei's body was burning from fever. 

He put the quilt over Leansei's body and turned around to get some cold water. But he stopped when he felt someone grasp the edge of his blazer's fastener. Xerchin looked at the hand holding his clothes and glanced at Leansei, who was still closing his eyes. 

"D-don't go.." Leansei whispered, leaving Xerchin speechless as he looked at him. He never does this to other people. He never touches other people. He never lets someone talk to him this way. but..

"D-don't leave me again." Leansei, he stated as a tear ran down his face.  

 ' I'll just do this once, ' Xerchin said in his mind.

The warble of birds and sunlight from the window that directly touches Leansei's eyes makes him awake.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked around, feeling the soft mattress on which he was lying and the blanket that surrounded him.

He slowly sat down in the bed as he gently rubbed his eyes. He smiled as he was feeling well early in the morning. He felt, gaily stretching his arms upward, and took his eyeglasses as he surveyed his surroundings.

Leansei was dazed for a second when he realized he had forgotten something important, but he seemed unable to remember it at all. He glances at the blanket again when he can't remember how he got to lie in the bed since the last thing he remembers is someone knocking on the door—

Leansei came back to reality when he smelled the delicious and drooling scent of food. He immediately got up from his bed and walked from his room to amble in the dining room. 

But he stopped when he saw a blonde with short hair wearing branded dress clothes. She is the same height as him and has white skin and a foreign face. The girl has a lovely complexion and is a well-known model.The girl gave him a sweet smile as they made eye contact. 

' W-what? Why is there a girl in Kean's condo?! Is this his g-girlfriend? Why do I have to--wait-then how did Kean do that to Xerchin-- No! How did she get in at all?! ' 

"Keaaan!!" the girl said excitedly, holding Leansei's hand. Lean minced as he got uncomfortable, but she looked kind and harmless. "I missed you so much! I heard what happened. Sorry, something came up in Singapore. I can't just leave right away-- Then take this!! as a gift and my apology. " 

Leansei glanced at what she was referring to and immediately made an 'O' in his mouth when he saw four bags of branded clothes and three bags of food. 

' I can't afford this! How can I repay her? I'm not kean at all. Do I have to pay her? I'm not going to use it since it wasn't given to me-- but the food, I don't want to waste it. ' 

"You look different." She said that made Leansei hit reality. He glanced at her and thought that everyone he interacts with thinks how Kean changes, but he doesn't want to act like someone he isn't. 

' I can't pretend to be Kean since I just transmigrated to this body for an unknown reason. ' 

"Anyway, you seem doesn't remember me at all. I'm Perial Dezancho.

We met at an international university and have become friends since then. So it's been 5 months since the last time we met. " She said this while taking out the food from the paper bags. "You must be surprised at how I got in. Well, you always make your friends stay in your condo for a while and gave us some spare keys. "  

Leansei nodded and wondered that Kean may not have had friends in school, but Kean's friends were too expensive and rich. Leansei shook his head from his thoughts. 

He came toward the kitchen and saw what he had smelled from his room. A porridge and chicken curry. Leansei smiled as he put it into two bowls.

"Do you want some?" Leansei asked. 

"No, I'm kind of full," Perid said.

Leansei helped Perial bring the food into the living room. Leansei sat on the sofa hushedly, since he had never had boy or girl friends in his previous life. 

Perial sat comfortably on the sofa as she grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. 

"You should eat now." Perial said, while eating macarons from what she brought for Kean. 

"You won't eat rice?" Leansei asked as he looked at the clock. It was around 8 a.m. in the morning. Since it is Sunday, he has the day to rest. 

"I'm always on a diet." Leansei smiled in the back of his mind from what Perial told him. 

' She's on a diet but she eats macarons and sweets. ' 

Leansei started eating the chicken curry, and it tasted so delicious. He missed eating this food since he couldn't cook it nor often have it served in the cafeteria at school. He finished the porridge and chicken curry since he couldn't bear to waste food. 

' Perial's cooking is superb. Did she really cook this? This tastes so good. ' 

Leansei stopped when a scenario suddenly appeared in his thoughts. When he saw Xerchin was in front of his door, he carried him to his bed, how he stopped Xerchin from walking away, and how he.. 

Leansei immediately felt the heat in his cheeks. 

' What the hell am I thinking??! I'm a guy! I shouldn't be feeling this way but that it felt so real, but I'm still glad it was all just a dream because if it was real, I would bury myself from embarrassment and avoid him at all cost! ' 

"Breaking news! I'm the reporter for today, and Miss Perial Dezancho flew from Singapore today! She was anticipated to join the runaway show of the famous brand this month---" Leansei coughed as he choked when he heard a familiar name and saw a familiar face on the screen. 

"Aaaiah, aaiiah. That is why you should chew your food. Here's some water. " She said, and handed the glass of water. Leansei took it and drank it immediately. Perial looked at the TV screen and smiled sweetly. 

"Aiiaah, the reporters were too fast getting information about me." She said, and shook her head, then glanced at Leansei, who was still drinking water. 

"Kean, is that guy your boyfriend?" Perial asked, which made Leansei spurt the water as he heard her. He immediately cleaned the water and his mouth in embarassment. 

"Aaiiahh, don't tell me it's true? So that guy earlier was your boyfriend??" Perial asked with a surprised tone. Leansei scratches his temple in confusion about what she's talking about. 

"Who?.." 

"The guy who cooked the porridge and the other dish!" Leansei was unable to talk and stared at the empty bowl on the table. 

' Perial didn't cook this? Then who--don't tell me that wasn't a dream at all?! ' Leansei said in his mind and swallowed. 

"The Famous Son of Mr. Vcheroi." Perial said that made Leansei unable to find words to utter since the thought of what happened last night was still confusing for him, if it was just a dream or not. 

' But it is impossible that a bastard will not do that. He is known for having a foul mouth and being heartless! ' 

"A-ah, he's not my boyfriend. He is just.. someone I know." Lean said as he diverted his gaze to the glass of water that was in his hand. 

"Oh, really?" Perial said while looking at the TV screen. The quiet atmosphere faded away when Perial's phone started ringing. She excused herself and answered the phone outside the condo. 

Leansei intently looked at his hand when he thought of what happened last night. He felt heat in his cheeks and electricity in his body and heart once more.

' Why do I feel this way? Am I sick? Why does my heart start beating loudly and fast? But is that scene really not a dream? but it is impossible for him to do this. ' 

Leansei snapped back to reality when he heard her come inside hurriedly. Leansei gave her a surprised look.

"I'm sorry, Kean, there was an unexpected meeting. I'll visit you again! " Perial said as she took her bag from her shoulder.  

"O-oh sure. Take care." Leansei said. Perial waved her hand before walking out of his condo. 

Leansei gave a deep sign and took the dishes into the kitchen and washed them. He put the food in the refrigerator and the paper bags in Kean's cabinet. 

Leansei stopped when he saw two small paper bags on the desk. He took it and it was full of medicines and supplements. The other bag was full of candies. Leansei curved his lips and took the candy. 

Leansei wondered if Xerchin really took care of him and if he should thank him. He took the phone to look up Xerchin's number, but he couldn't find anything. 

' Oh right, we were not friends at all. But I'll just treat him tomorrow. I don't really like owing someone. ' 

Leansei flinched as he got a message on the phone. It's from the President of the Supreme Student Council.

TO: Kean Ferech and four others: 

As we discussed at the last meeting, we will continue the meeting on Sunday. It will only take an hour of your time, so don't worry. 

Let's meet at a nearby coffee shop in ******** at around 8:45 am. See you later!"

Delivered at 8:05 a.m.

He immediately ran towards the bathroom to shower, and afterwards, he chose a t-shirt and pants. He took his bag and walked outside his condo as he locked it. 

Leansei tried to learn a few things about commuting, but instead he always got lost since he isn't used to living in Lemous City. He took a grab to go to the address that the president gave them. 

Leansei managed to arrive at the exact time and everyone was already there. They were outside the coffee shop, and waved at him.

"Vice Presiden! Hi! " Nenia said, with a smile on her face. 

Leansei put his hand up to wave, but instead it made him look like a fool. He really doesn't know how to socialize with people. 

"Let's go inside and start the meeting," Xeilin said, while smiling and opening the door for the girls. When they entered the coffee shop, the scent made Lean forget about his previous life.

Leansei ordered what he always buys in the coffee shop, and they ordered first before opening the paper files and their laptop. 

"Welcome to the coffee shop." A greeting from the crew led Leansei to turn his head and see a beautiful girl with long silky hair, a very attractive face, and a kind smile. 

Leansei diverted his gaze and looked at the paper instead. 

"She returned?" Delia asked, holding a piece of paper. Leansei looks at Delia, who is looking behind him. Leansei glanced at it, and it was the girl he was looking at. 

"You know her?" Leansei asked. 

The rest of the group glance at her while Xeilin is continuously typing on his laptop. 

"Who wouldn't? You know her too, but since you got amnesia, you can't remember. " Felina said. 

"What did she come back for? I think her parents' business in California was doing well. " Delia said. 

"You know why she came back, Delia?" Felina said, and looked away.

"You must not know her since you can't remember. Seleigh Roshie is one of the famous girls in our school and also for being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roshie. She was perfect in every way; she had talent, was wealthy, had an amazing life and a love life. " Luo sen as he fixes his eyeglasses. 

Leansei nodded. 

"He and she were too good for each other." Delin said, while sweetly looking at the ceiling. 

"There's a rumor that she has a fiance, but they still haven't confirmed it since it was arranged by their family." Felina said, while scanning the document. 

Leansei glances at Xeilin, who is looking at the laptop screen, but it looks like his attention is not on it. 

"His fiance is---" Luo was cut off when a waiter came to their table and put their orders.

Leansei looked at the bread he bought and ate it. He wondered that, with such a delicate beauty, her fiance was indeed lucky to have her. She looks kind and lovely too, like you'll be blind from just being near to her. 

' Well, life is full of mystery. I'm curious, yet it's not my business--I have my own problems too, so I should take care of this first before minding others'.
