1 Preparation for my deity

I sat at the table tapping my foot against the hardwood foot in excitement. I could hardly wait for the next morning when I would become an adult, and more importantly get a deity.

"Would you like me to walk you through it again, Arc ?"

"Just one more time mom, I promise."

"Ok, tomorrow morning you will line up with all of the other 15 year olds, and pray in front of the shrine in the temple. When it is your turn your consciousness will be sent to the gods. The one on the tallest pillar is the strongest, so pray in front of it and you will get you stats and quest screens"

"Got it mom!" I said with a twinkle in my eye that could blind the whole village.

I was hoping to get Victoria like mother. She was a peaceful deity that only wanted he followers to be happy and friendly. Not to mention she was exceedingly powerful, mother only did a few quests and had the strongest skill in the village.

"Can you teach me to use lightspeed arrow?"

Mother chuckled with an "only if Victoria is in you choice se pool."

We ate dinner and went to bed, but I was far to excited to even think about sleeping. The night went at a snails pace as I keep imagining what the white room and deity would look like.

After 8 long hours in bed, I jumped up and ran downstairs to tell mom I was leaving. I begin dancing a little as I walked past Jessica's house. I stopped and considered picking her up to have someone to walk with, but I knew she had probably left earlier to make sure she was on time.

It only took about 10 minutes to reach the church but even coming half an hour early the line was out the door. The village had 13 kids that turned 15 this year, and I was 10th in line. I tapped my foot impatiently as the time ticked by. Eventually the line started moving and a couple of minutes later Jessica came up to me and brag. She had gotten senna, a light aligned deity known for her overwhelming holy damage to being without physical forms. A quality deity for a quality girl. She had vibrant tan skin and long wavy hair, and even though she was 5.9 she pulled in her shoulders make her look significantly smaller. I talked with her about her stats and how excited she was to go out and adventure.

When my time came I went to the shrine, and prayed.

This is my first creative writing project, I want to focus on setting up a world, do be aware there will probably not be any character development if any real character at all.
