Training

Ace slowly floated down towards one of the villages next to the tree. "Gerald is east of here so we should start heading towards that direction." But before we started making our way east we heard a loud roar that seemed to shake the entire world. Fortunately it was just my stomach and not a big scary monster. "Guess we'll eat before we go." I felt a little embarrassed but happy that we got to eat. I ate what's called a Gourmet Gilluad Fish which was apparently the flying fish I saw earlier. It was delicious, after we made our leave from the restaurant we made our way east towards Gerald who is apparently the girl's master. "So I never got your name." I asked. "So what?" "I just wanted to know your name that's all." "My name is Lissy." "That's a beautiful name." I replied. "Whatever." She looked away from me and I saw what might've been Lissy blushing, though it could just be my imagination.

After a few minutes of walking we were in a open grassy field. It was barren if you don't include the grass. "We're here." "This is it?" I asked. "Yes, I know it doesn't look like much but just you wait." I waited there for what seemed like hours until I saw something in the sky. It was a dark silhouette coming down right at us with alarming speed. "Um... what is that??!!" "Oh don't worry that's just Gerald."

"That thing is Gerald?!" "Yup." I thought I was gonna get used to this strange world but it never ceases to amaze me. Gerald slowed down and landed in front of us. My first impression if him was huge and muscly. Because well... he's huge and muscly. "It's nice to see you Lissy, oh, who do we have here?" Gerald looked above my head. "My god, Lissy have you seen his ability?!" "Yes I have and I brought him here hoping that you would train him to use his ability." "Oh so he is a human, that's strange for a human possessing such a powerful ability." "Exactly what I was thinking but I guess fate choose him to be the fin-" "Quiet! We must not speak of that in front of him do you understand?" "Yes sir!"

"You, what is your name?" "Uh.. Ace sir." "Ace tell me why you want to learn how to use your ability." "Because learning to harness my ability gives me something worth living for and I want to protect everyone in this world and the human world and I want to be useful to at least someone." I was bracing myself to be screamed at, at my school normally when I say how I truly felt, the teachers would yell at me for being rude and obnoxious. But Gerald was different. "Your heart is in the right place kid, if you want to learn how to use your ability you must first strengthen you body, mind, and spirit." "Right now you barely have any muscle, your will to live isn't strong, and you suffer from constant stress and depression so we're gonna have to fix that." "First we must train the mind, it will make the rest of your training a lot easier, follow me."
