NATHAN

Nathan and Tania planned their escape with Lucas, since they know the new Alpha will never let them go, and she would never stop her ruthlessness and brutality on the pack.

Ryan has totally become Lana's informant and right-hand man, for he told her everything going on around the pack. He even had his father gamma Gerald in the dungeons because he refused bowing to Lana.

Lana decided to make Ryan take his father's position as the new beta of Blood Rose. With his title, he continued bullying the weak, and never found his mate.

Meanwhile, Lucas had his first shift in the dungeons, but he was never allowed to go for a run and this was bad for a Lucas since his wolf would not allowed to exercise his powers.

One night after Nathan planned for the escape of them three, they made the guards believe Lana called for Lucas since Nathan was now a pack warrior who pretended to be very faithful to the witch.

They had notified Lucas of their escape, and as such, he planned to escape from the dungeon when he has the chance.

That night, Nathan came into the dungeons in other to help Lucas escape, why Tania took their belongings and waited at a hidden area in the woods for them.

Nathan was able to escape with Lucas, who was dying to shift to his wolf for a run. He was told to be patient until they are out of Blood Rose's territory.

They met Tania in the woods, and together they escaped out of Blood Rose's territory.

The next day, when the pack warriors discovered the disappearance of Nathan, his mate and Lucas they immediately informed witch Lana who after hearing the news became deeply angered that she sent her best war wolves after them.

When Nathan and the rest finally got to a hideout in the woods, they decided to take a rest, since they've been running for days without a rest.

"Nathan, why are you helping me to escape, huh?, is it because you feel guilty towards my family whom you killed?".

Nathan fell silent, for he knew this day would come when he had to tell everyone the truth, including his mate Tania.

Tania never spoke to her mate, not until he saved her from Derrick's men, who tried to abuse her.

So just like Lucas, she also wanted to hear the reason he chose to betray their pack.

After a long moment of silent, Nathan finally told them the truth.

"I know, no matter what I say will never bring back then alpha, the Luna, or Maya, not even the faithful members who died for their Alpha."

"When my father got kidnapped, you all were made to believe that it was the werewolves hunters, but in reality it was Derrick and his men who captured him."

Derrick and Lana had planned to overthrow the Alpha years before now.

Their ambition was to rule the pack, and the were world."

"The witch siblings are not as simple as they look. They have greater plans, but that I can't say currently.

"I was threatened to bring the Alpha into the woods or my family and mate will be killed, since Lana already has followers who were in cohorts with her."

"I tried to do the opposite, I tried, but when I saw how the witch already stationed members in and outside the pack, I knew there was no chance for us to fight even if we wanted to."

"They used dangerous weapons only the humans used. I have the feeling whoever was is not a werewolf, but a human, for only humans could make weapons from wolves bane."

Tania felt deplorable when she heard Nathan's betrayal was to save her and his family.

She regretted her hatred for him all these years.

Lucas was still sad, though he understood the reasons why Nathan did what he did, but he still can't forgive him because the decision he took for his family destroyed his, not to talk of the fact that Nathan's parents died even after his sacrifice to save them.

Just as they were mourning the loss of their families, they heard the footsteps of wolves approaching them.

From the sound of their paws, they seemed to be the war wolves Lana always sent on special missions.

They ran as far as they could with the war wolves behind them.

At some point, Lucas couldn't run anymore since he was imprisoned for years without proper meals, and he had lost his strength.

Nathan and Tania had to carry Lucas on their shoulders' because they were unable to leave him behind.

But the war wolves was already upon them, and it seemed they have no choice but die fighting or surrender.

One of the ferocious beasts attacked Nathan first, but since he was a good fighter, he wrestled it to the ground and quickly dismembered it from the underbelly.

The other wolf went for Tania, who was very fast in her fight and in the twinkle of an eye she brought down a few.

Lucas, on the other hand, fought them the best way he could. He was scratched, and his skin ripped, still he fought for his survival.

Nathan came to his rescue the moment he thought he was going to die.

The war wolves seemed to be increasing in numbers, why they were getting weaker.

They made up their mind to rather fight to the death than be taken back to the pack where they would be treated nothing more than slaves and prisoners.

Meanwhile, Alpha Frederick and his warriors were out in the wild looking for Maya for they were scared for her safety.

They heard the growls and sneers of wolves fighting in the woods. They immediately approached the scene only to discover war wolves attacking three other werewolves.

This was undoubtedly what Frederick hated, and that is the battle between pack wolves.

From the look of things, he believes those wolves are attacking the other ones because they either want them dead through the orders of their Alpha or taken back to the pack.

"Should we go give them a helping hand?".

Cedric asked.

Frederick told his warriors to hold on, for he wanted to see how strong the attacked wolves were.

Nathan, Tania, and Lucas became weak, and they sustained several injuries, and it seems they have lost the fight.

That was when Frederick ordered his warriors to attack.

The war wolves became surprised to be attacked by rogues for the sake of Nathan and the rest.

Nathan and the rest also became surprised at the turn of event.

Frederick and his men loved to fight.

They fought until every last one of the war wolves was killed, but some escaped back to the pack.

Nathan, and the others, became taken aback.

They watched the rogues with fear, thinking they will become their next target.

"You are all okay?" Frederick asked the startled and surprised looking wolves.

"Thank you for saving us, even though you knew us not. You might have attacked us as the other rogues did." Said Nathan.

"We are rogues but not your regular kind".

Frederick said, swaggering away from them.

Nathan and the rest followed behind them.

"Why were you three attacked by war wolves, did you offend your Alpha, perhaps?".

Nathan and the rest fell silent for a minute.

Frederick turned around and took another look at Lucas before he spoke to Nathan.

"I don't entertain those who are friends of the packs, I only save those who are enemies of it".

"We are enemies of the pack too for we are tired of the brutal ruling of our leader who happens to be a witch".

Frederick, raised a brow in surprise.

"Did you just say a witch?, is it male or a female?".

Nathan and the rest felt embarrassed for they thought the rogues might think they were a weak pack.

As it stands now, no one will ever believe that the once strongest pack is nothing but a weak haven at this moment.

"It's a female witch".

Frederick and the others paused upon hearing that.

"Can we come with you? We promise to leave as soon as possible, we just need a little protection from you until we are out of the area."

"You can come with us" Frederick said, and they all made their way back to the rogue community."

When they got to the rogue's community, they were surprised to know that such a community existed.

At first, Tania and Lucas hesitated since they've never left their pack to a strange community before.

Nathan gave Tania's hand a light squeeze to assure her that they were in a safe hands.

The rogues looked at them strangely, maybe because they still smell like pack.

One thing the rogues hates the most was to have someone in their midst who smelled like packs because it gives them bad memories of the reason they became rogues.
