Chapter 2: Malik Valor

There are four major human kingdoms. The Kingdom of Reiner, The Kingdom of Valor The Kingdom of Alilet, and The Kingdom of Brotelet. Each kingdom is its own thing and are all dependent on themselves, in most aspects. Reiner and Brotelet are the closests of all the kingdoms, their kings are half brothers.

Malik Valor, son of king Henry Valor and Queen Alice Valor. He is the second son, but third born, after his older sister Nicole. The oldest son, his older brother, James, is of course next in line to be the king. Not only that, but he is what you call the, 'family favorite'. Everyone loves James, he's smart, strong, good with a sword, and is very good with magic. Most of the time Malik is getting shined by his sister. She isn't all that amazing to him, but to everyone else, she is gorgeous, strong and independent.

Malik is honestly glad he gets outshined by his older siblings. He never liked all that attention anyways, and he also likes that he actually is able to walk outside on his own without getting crowded by all the townspeople. Out of all his siblings Malik is probably the second strongest, in both physical combat and magic. No one truly knows how strong he is because no one pays any attention to him. He is smarter than James when it comes to strategy and can think in dire situations. He is more skilled and smooth when it comes to the sword, but his favorite weapon of all is easily magic. Not only does Malik have more magic than both his siblings, but he is also 'Gifted'.

'Gifted', is the term used to describe a person who is magically skilled or proficient in a specific kind of magic. For instance, Nicole, she is gifted in fire and lightning magic. This simply means her strongest attacks would be fire and or lightning based. James is gifted in lightning, water, and healing magic.

Malik is a very special person, he just doesn't know it yet. As he stares at himself in the mirror he contemplates what he should really be doing with his life. He looks at the family crest, two swords making an X. He knows he's at the age now where he must really show out, to his family and to the public. He just turned 15, but that means it's time for him to leave home and attend The Academy of Swords and Magic.

As he sits in the carriage taking him to the school for his and well everyone's first day of school, he just stares out the window thinking.
