Scolded

The dark dragon eye sat on the bed next to Malik. He knew that this would be very hard to deal with. That was why he hadn't gone to the garden within the academy grounds to process it. If he absorbed it and caused damage there, he would feel worse than if he did so in his own room.

He could pay to replace the bed, sheets, and whatever he damaged. But he couldn't apologize to Professor Silva if he ruined the garden that the elemental spirits loved so much. He wasn't a monster that wanted to show his kindness to those who helped him through breaking the places that they enjoyed.

The dark mana that radiated from the dark dragon eyes was definitely potent. Just having it in his hands, Malik could feel the dangers. He was resisting the dark mana, but he could feel a prickling in his palm. It told him that if he held it longer than this, he would end up with some decent damage due to the decaying effect of dark mana.

Sending it back to the desert camel stomach was enough for him to sense the dragon aspects of the eye more closely. The dragon heart within his body had a familiarity with the purer manas that dragons could store within their bodies. It was a familiar resonance that Maik had sensed when he first saw the eye at the auction.

The very second that he fell in to a meditative position, the desert caramel stomach was mentally allowed to begin letting the humanoid slime stomach start breaking the eye down. Malik had not known what to expect, pain? Pressure? Nothing since this was just another material to break down like the others?

The answer was pain.

'The corruption grows.'

There was a prompt from the guide however, Malik couldn't focus on it whatsoever. His mind was entirely focused on the singular mana that was flowing in to the high spirit veins with so much pressure that there was no logical reason for him to be conscious.

This pressure wasn't just painful, but it carried weight. A weight on his entire being. His soul even struggled to handle the weight that came with so much maa which he didn't have the mana control for.

Most of the time, mana manipulation was fine for Malik. He was so far ahead that he could compete with most people rather than compete with students. But if he were to be compared to the fourth year students within Brilliance Academy, he would match up much better. And when it came to the average guard, yes, he would match up nicely. However, compared to the elites of the fourth years or the royal knights, he was pretty damn weak.

Not that they would be able to absorb and handle this dense dark mana making his body feel the true dangers of rot and decay throughout the body and mind. That was what caused the corruption to grow just now. The dense dark mana had corroded some of his mind itself!

'The dragon heart is resonating. Mana absorption rate is being increased through the body.'

It was like having a shot of adrenaline. Like falling and barely catching himself on the edge of a cliff. The dragon heart was beating three times as fast which caused his blood and mana to circulate that much faster as well.

The dark mana was eating away at his muscles the most, which prompted the natural regeneration to work at a much higher rate, barely able to keep up, and still losing in some places.

By relation, this caused the humanoid slime stomach to begin breaking down more food in the desert camel stomach. The monster bodies Malik had saved for the safety of always having food put away when he ended it was paying off already. Because without that food, the natural regeneration would not have the right nutrients to rebuild the body.

'Natural regeneration is gaining strength due to dragon heart's efficiency with mana and resonance with the body as a whole.'

Unexpected.

Improvement of the natural regeneration skill and not been on Malik's mind at all. Not that he was able to focus on this at the moment. His mind was entirely focused on keeping the flow of mana within the high spirit veins. If it broke out of the flow, he could lose a lot.

The reason that this was important though, was that the regeneration a dragon had was much higher than other monsters. Very few monsters or dragons would have the ability to heal to a higher degree, but a forest dragon or light dragon certainly could. Other dragons could too, but it was rarer.

Since the dragon heart stopped some of the manas before being made part of this body, Malik was having the potential that came with it. The natural regeneration skill for right in to the dragon heart. Allowing the natural regeneration skill to grow with it.

The man burst even more as Malik sensed the decaying effect of the dark mana intensify. This was the central dark mana that occupied the dark dragon eye.

There was a large dull arch that spread through every part of Malik, then a following numbness. Before it could become permanent, the natural regeneration spiked along with the dragon aura Malik naturally projected.

'Natural regeneration has grown to match the higher flow of manas. It is now extra regeneration, one step above the natural regeneration skill.'

'Dark mana resistance has greatly improved.'

'Dark mana manipulation has greatly advanced.'

'The skill dark dragons rotting gaze has been learned due to resonance between the dark mana, dragon heart, and dark dragon eye consumed.'

'Rotting gaze- active

This skill costs minute amounts of mana as long as one is a dragon or has a draconic aura to stimulate their manas.

The fake mana within the user's gaze causes a slow rot effect. Dark mana will be attracted to what they glare at in battle. As a result, the affected will slowly suffer from a weak decaying effect that will be easily enhanced by increasing the dark mana in the area.

This will slowly alter the environment which the skill is used it. Hence why dark dragon lairs are often decaying swamp environments.'

The skill gained was very useful. Even without much mana, Malik could cause a weakening effect on an opponent. Especially if they were weak to dark mana. Besides this, he could even use it to weaken an area around him with more mana.

While many people would think damaging an environment around them was a bad thing, it could be advantageous. If a dungeon had traps, they could be based on carved runes. Therefore damaging them with this skill could free them from that trap.

Opening his eyes, Malik saw that the entire bedroom had been damaged. The bed frame was rotting wood and the mattress had become too soft, more so that it was collapsing in on itself. The window panes were even slightly gray with the glass having begun to turn to dust due to the dark mana seeping in to it.

"Yeah… I expected that." He sighed before remembering he had enough money to handle this. But he had spent a lot recently… It was unfortunate but necessary. He also needed to survive the scolding he would get from Clara.

Using the dark mana in the room, Malik felt the shadow wrapping skill activate in an instant. His manipulation of dark mana as a whole was much greater. It definitely surpassed the other mana manipulation skills by far.

What troubled him was the mental corruption had grown again. It had been pushed back after he gained the class, seed of the unknown, the mental corruption had been greatly pushed back. The addition of more dark mana had almost entirely undone that.

There was a relation between the dark mana and the mental corruption. That was already a clear picture for Malik to grasp. However, he still needed to learn about dark mana to resist the attacks of the cultists who used it.

"Oh, so you are awake. If we didn't have a dark mage reporting his job to the guild last night, you would have caused decay to the main wall structures around your room. So, explain." Malik shivered under the glare from Clara.

He hadn't been vigilant enough to notice that the door had also rotted off its hinges. That the room was wide open and a dark mage had focused his attention on stopping the dark mana from spilling out in to the entire adventurers guild.

"Well, I was meditating-"

That wasn't a question! You're going to fix this place or I will make sure you don't get food for a week!"

And there it was, Malik knew it was coming but now he felt that the world was crushing him. Clara had to have a skill that made her scolding ten times stronger. If he hadn't understood the logic of it being impossible, he was certain she could slay countless monsters with a few words.

and that’s how the hero Clara killed the ancient evil god… the super heroic power of scolding! lol
