Alex had a long list of people and things in mind. I thought about the couple I had seen that day, the elderly gentleman who worked as a chef in a small restaurant, and every other regular person I came across on the street.

Alex's head began to throb incessantly once more. In an attempt to wipe the tears from his eyes, Alex stood up and discovered that the tears had already frozen to his face. Once the tears were wiped away, they turned into ice and fell down his face.

"Please accept my apologies; I understand." Alex's voice had become very hoarse at this point.

"Alex, please understand that this is not your fault." "No one would ever want something like this to happen," Sophia said softly as she comforted her.

Alex smiled and nodded to Sophia as he looked her in the eyes with gratefulness.

After a long sigh, the old man in the town instructed a few people to load Samantha's family onto the sled, and a group of people slowly walked towards the town—in order to prevent the sled dogs from consuming a large amount of calories and being killed. They did not want to risk being frozen to death by allowing the sled dog to run too fast. It was at the same time that they removed their clothing and placed it on the sled dogs, which assisted them in staying warm.

I'm not sure when the wind and snow in the sky began to diminish and the residents of the town were able to return to their homes in the town. Putting on his robe, the only pastor in the church began to pray for the Samanthas and their children. The welcome banquet that was originally intended to welcome Alex and his party ended up being used as a funeral.

The atmosphere in the town became oppressive and depressing as time went on. Alex barricaded himself in his room and did not come out for three days, except to eat and tend to his physical requirements. Alex appears to be able to smell the Samantha family's breath from this house, as well as hear their words and laughter, but he is unable to see them, and he will never be able to see them again.

These additional supplies arrived one by one over the course of three days, and then it was finally time to depart. Alex emerged from his room and joined the rest of the group. There are a number of helicopters parked in front of the local church. All of the town's residents gathered here for this farewell gathering.

Alex addressed the crowd that had gathered to see him off, saying: "Don't stay in this town any longer; instead, travel to Equator City, where you should contact the government immediately; the government will send someone to pick you up; don't stay in this town any longer, don't you understand? The weather has shifted, and this location is no longer suitable for human habitation or survival."

Alex will not be able to violate the confidentiality rules. Alex is unable to express himself beyond these words.

The old man sighed, his voice trembling, and he said: "Sigh, we all know that the weather is indeed becoming more and more bitterly cold. But how are we going to get out of here? The fact that we have lived here all of our lives and spent seventy or eighty years here is that we simply want to age peacefully and die here, and we have no idea where we will go after we leave here. Young people enjoy running around in circles, and they enjoy running around in circles. If they want to go to Equator City, they should go to Equator City; we are all in favor of it. In the event that you become old and unable to walk, you simply remain in this place and do not leave."

Alex appeared to have picked up on what the restaurant owner, who was also in his eighties, had said to him.

"Anyway, we won't be here for more than a few years, so let's just stay here."

Alex couldn't make sense of the words and choices made by these elderly people, but he recognized the intensity of their feelings nonetheless. As a result of this strong emotion, they decided that they would rather remain in their home country and refuse to leave, and Alex is confident that there are many other elderly people all over the world who believe in the same thing.

Even if they die, they will not abandon their post.

You will perish if you do not leave.

Alex didn't want them to perish, and neither did he.

Alex could feel a heat flow brewing in his eyes, but he was able to keep it under control. As Alex turned his head, he said in a slightly hoarse voice, " "Okay, then you'll have to stay here. If I have the ability to change everything before the weather becomes unbearable, that would be fantastic!"

The elderly were perplexed by what was going on. They were perplexed as to what Alex was trying to say. Despite this, they continued to express their gratitude and blessings to Alex. Alex turned around and boarded the helicopter, not daring to look back in this direction.

Alex, on the other hand, chose the goal of the Arctic. The reason for this was never discussed; as long as Alex believed it was necessary, they would find a way to accommodate his wishes.
