The Era of a Villain

Good? Bad? Strong? Weak? How are they decided? A young man, along with 40% of the population of the Earth, is transported to a different world. The young man was in a hospital bed in a coma, blissfully unaware he was not on the same—planet he was born on. Imagine waking in an unknown place with a purple-skinned man checking your vitals. 'Oh, a purple man? How nice they bought Barney the dinosaur to see me.' "Doctor! Doctor, the man passed out!" Vincent did not pass out; he closed his eyes because the lights blinded him. "Vincent Frost, the being who has sponsored you, has chosen you to be a villain. The villain system is now bounded and can't be removed." Vincent's mind, which was still cloudy, became clear instantly. He immediately shot up in his bed and screamed. You have to be kidding me! I created the cover using Webnovel tools; it has nothing to do with my character. Join our so-called villain and his journey to becoming a villain.

One Month Later

Two people were inside of a ring. One attacked, and the other moved quickly between the other's attacks. A bell sounded, and the one who was attacking still attacked. They were kicked in the knee and fell. "You have to be deadlier than that." He left the other one on the ground.

Vincent was lying on his back with his eyes closed. He was replaying the fight in his mind. He broke down what he did and where he messed up. 'I made 37 mistakes in just my footwork alone. I also overreached on three different occasions.'

He stood up and limped over to a woman who patiently watched him limp over. She offered him no encouragement nor any advice. She was only there to make sure he didn't croak. Vincent grabbed his bag from off the ground and left without saying goodbye.

Vincent walked into the cafeteria and sat in a corner by himself. People didn't want to talk to him. A girl sat across from him in silence. Karrie was the girl whom Rebecca forced to speak out against Vincent. They ate in complete silence. Vincent pulled up his stats while eating.

His stats had gone through a humongous transformation. Training with people with so much strength was a great boon. Vincent was not surprised that his stats had gone through the roof. His skills had also leveled up. He moved to his skills menu.

Baleful Aura[lvl 5]

Fear control[lvl 6]

Bloodlust[lvl 7]

Misdirection[lvl 8]

Total control[lvl 15]

Veteran Vision[lvl 17]

Wild slash[lvl 3]

Instinct[lvl 28]

Warrior heart[lvl 17]

'My other skills are lagging since they don't work on them monsters.' He was referring to his teachers. They would shrug off his aura, fear control, and bloodlust like a Sunday breeze. The misdirection skill was mainly used to create space and catch his breath against them. If it weren't for the skills of total control, veteran vision, and instinct, then he would have died a long time ago.

'How can I increase the other skill levels?' He pondered this question as he ate his food. "Karrie." The girl jumped and let out a tiny yelp. "What can I do for you?" Her tone was soft and submissive. "Is there any way to level up skills? Some of mine are falling behind the others."

"Yes, sir, you can hunt beasts, eat pills, drink potions, or fight in the Coliseum. They will allow you to level them up." Vincent went quiet for a moment and nodded his head.

"Thank you for the information." He got up and left. Karrie let out the breath she was holding.

Vincent went to Jekel for his lesson for the day. He liked this class the most since it didn't involve him almost dying. He just had to sit, take notes, and answer questions correctly. He walked into the room and saw there was someone else sitting there. He was curious but didn't ask what they were doing there.

Many people have requested Jekel's assistance with a problem in the past month. They sometimes wore fancy clothes, military uniforms, scholar robes, doctors' robes, or even rags for clothes. This time, it was a woman with blonde hair and green eyes. She wore a long, light violet strapless dress and had many tattoos on her body.

Vincent did not speak to her and sat in his seat. He took out a textbook titled How to Take Over an Empire.

The woman tried to start a conversation with him. "Oh my, I don't know whether to be impressed or concerned." Vincent did not respond to her and continued to study and take notes. The woman tried again.

"I should expect nothing else from the only disciple of the seven harbingers of death. Tell me, what are the other six like? I have only interacted with Jekel."

Vincent sighed and closed his book. The woman smiled and turned to face him, giving him her full attention. Vincent looked at her.

"Count your blessings you don't know about them. I would also like to remind you that even if they are not in the room, I can assure you they hear everything. One more thing, if you thought you would get me to spill any information on my masters, then you are a bigger fool than you look."

The woman was taken aback. "Brat, do not think you are of some importance to them. Anyone one of your masters could become a Saint if they wanted to. Entire empires could be built or destroyed at their words." Vincent rolled his eyes.

"You just made the point. They are so robust and influential. In their entire lives and careers, I am their ONLY disciple. Did you think telling me that information would scare me? Lady, I live with them, so stop while you are ahead before you end up dead somewhere. So that you know, that was not a threat but a fact."

Vincent pulled out some headphones and went back to studying. The woman was furious but didn't say anything else to him. A few minutes later, Jekel walked inside.

Vincent turned off his music and took out pen and paper. "You don't need to do that, Vincent. Your great-great-grandfather Victor asked you to return home for a week. You undergo a blood ritual."

"What is a blood ritual?" "It's when a person gives a piece of their bloodline away to someone else, but it can also awaken the exact origin if the one receiving has the same. You have nothing to fear since you will successfully awaken the Grimm bloodline. After that, it is all about blood assimilation or purification."

Vincent didn't question him since there was no point in doing so.

"In that case, I will see you next week, Master Jekel." Jekel nodded his head and dismissed him. On the way out, Vincent heard the woman ask about him, only to hear Jekel snap his fingers. 'I warned you, now you won't remember anything, and you won't receive any help from him again.'
