"Okay, it's time to put on an amazing show" Athena suddenly said and that's when I noticed that we had arrived at the castle

"Forget about that scene that you saw," she said as she looked at me

"Why, I quite like that you were so open with me," I told her truthfully

"Because you'll keep wanting me to be more open which is something that will never happen" she said and got out of the carriage

Those words hurt, they hurt way more than they were supposed to and I didn't know what to say afterwards so I just kept quiet and walked to her

"I'm sorry for that, it's just that I don't enjoy being weak," she said, was she bipolar or something?

"You can be weak around me" I told her and took her hand in mine which made her smile as we walked inside the ball.

I could hear the whispers while we were outside, but as soon as our arrival was announced everyone became deadly silent, I liked this, this meant that the only voice I would hear was that of my sweet angel Athena, but sadly I had to go according to my butterfly's wishes and break the silence

"Seems like everyone is enjoying my party," I said loudly so that all would hear me

"I mean it is a party after all is it not Your Majesty?" Athena asked and smiled at me. That little devil

"I thought we spoke of not calling me 'your majesty' or do you perhaps want me to dismiss my title for you to call me Deimos?" I said as he held her hand tighter, I was enjoying this

"I would never wish for such a thing, I am just showing you some respect," Athena said and smiled at me, to say those words annoyed me would be generous, I absolutely hated them coming from her words

"There we go again with the formal talk, you are my wife-to-be, what's with the formal talk? Are you perhaps shy because of all these people around us?" I said and held her chin up, giving her the "don't say those words again" look

"If I said yes, will you kill them all for me " she asked changing the topic, but I liked her question

"For you, I would kill Zeus himself," I told her nothing but her truth and kissed her forehead

All eyes were on us, and the shock on everyone's face was clear as daylight. What was unusual about us being together?

"Emperor Deimos" Athena's Uncle the King of her kingdom called out happily as he walked towards my butterfly and I

"King Josh, good to see you," I said to him trying to hide the hate I had for him in my heart, how could he still smile after what they did to her? He was undeserving of that smile

"I see you have taken an interest in my niece, if you like you could take her as a mistress, I am sure that whichever woman you choose as your wife will understand," He said and smiled. What? Did I hear correctly or were my ears playing tricks on me? I wanted to rip his guts out as soon as he suggested she become my mistress, but Athena squeezed my hand signalling me to calm down and like the dog I was towards her. I obeyed

"The woman I plan to take as my wife is Athena, King Josh," I said as calmly as I could. Damn this was killing me

"What!!?" Chloe shouted in shock when she heard that statement as if I wasn't angry enough. How did such an angel end up being born into a family of demons?
