"How was he, how was he after he found out about my death?" Athena asked and the look Maya gave her was enough to give her the answer sought

"He wasn't the best and I feel like he took all that hurting to this life, I've tried to see if he remembers our past life, but he doesn't, but one thing I know is that his soul remembers and it'll never forget until his inner self feels your presence and love, if you don't make it known that you're with him he will bare the fruit that will end him," Maya said as she looked at Athena seriously, how was she going to that? She can't just tell him that she loves him, he would never believe her at all

"I hear you, I'll do better Maya" Athena said as she smiled at Maya. She was done crying, she had to do her best to make it known to her husband that she loved him and that she would die for him all over again

"Now let's speak of happy things" Maya said as she got closer to Athena with a huge smile "How did you manage to get married in this life?" she asked when she got closer to Athena

"Well, he proposed" Athena confessed with a hint of bashfulness in her voice

"Will you look at that, he did something good in this life, I was worried that things would be the same as in the past life," Maya said and you could still see the hint of sadness in her eyes that she was trying to mask by all needs. She would never forget the day Deimos entered the kingdom holding Athena's body as his body was covered with blood. That day he killed more people than he ever killed in all history. Maya lost both her best friend and her brother that day.

"He truly did" Athena said as she smiled remembering the first time she met Deimos in their first life

"Hello, I'm Emperor Deimos, you must be Earl George's wife" he said as he smiled at her, that smile was genuine and kind. He looked at her so gently, he looked like an angel

"I'm Princess Athena Rosa Abato" she introduced herself to him as she looked at him shyly

"You're very beautiful Princess Athena, what are you doing here all by yourself?" he asked her as he looked at her tenderly

"I enjoy being on my own," she said as she held her hands in a fist and scratched the inside of the fist which did not go unnoticed by Deimos who held both of her hands and opened her first and said "You shouldn't do that, you'll peal your beautiful skin off," he said and Athena just stared at in awe, why was he so gentle towards her?

"You're surprisingly cute Princess" Deimos said as he let her hands go looking at her with a smile glued to his face

"Thank you Emperor Deimos," Athena said and looked down

"Don't evade your eyes from me" Deimos said as he raised her chin using her finger which made her look up at him. Why was she not moving away? Her body was not allowing her to

"Emperor Deimos, you…" she began "I'm only Emperor after I marry princess" he interrupted her as his gaze still hovered above her

"Duke Deimos, you can't do that to a married woman," she said still looking at him

"I don't see your husband anywhere princes and if you tell me to stop I promise that I will Princess Athena Rosa" he said to her

"It's Abato" she corrected him

"I like Rosa more, Rosa suits you," he said and held her hand then kissed the back of it whilst maintaining eye contact

"I don't get to choose what I want," she said as she blushed, why was she enjoying his company? She was a married woman, she had a husband who loved her dearly…, did he love her? Was there really anything about her to love in the first place?

"If you were Empress, you would get to choose what you want and what you want for others too," he said as he still had her hand in his

"What are you talking about?" Athena asked

"You might be a love-sick woman, but you're not stupid Athena, you see the things your husband does with your sister, why not leave them behind and become my Empress?" he suggested and Athena just stared at me as she bit her lower lip, it seemed like she wasn't the only one who saw how her husband and her sister were, but it was a normal brother I law and sister-in-law relationship was it not? Of course, it wasn't, but did she have the right to leave?

"I'll give you until tomorrow to make up your mind princess, I'll take my leave," Deimos said as he saw the look she had on her face, she needed time " suggest you go read a book, you'll know why your husband and your sister both enjoy reading" he continued and kissed her cheek, it was so sudden that Athena couldn't react to it and with that, he left with her thoughts
