A turn for the worse

After training at the dojo for half the day with Andrew, Jason makes it back to his house, where Rick is waiting. When Jason see's the look on Rick's face and he can tell it's not going to be a good day. Rick was slightly pissed about the damage done to the house from the fight the other day, but Jason had managed to fix it for the most part. "I got a call about what happened with you" Rick growls as he raises his head. "You should know better than to let that beast take control like that."

Rick unleashes his aura, turning the air stale, almost like you were in a collapsed mine. It became hard for Jason to breathe from the difference in strength between them. "So this is the power of a top tier black gold general." Jason thinks to himself as he gaspes to take a breath

"You remind me of your jackass of a father, you never care what happens just as long as you can fight. Do you remember what i would have to do if you lose control?" Rick raised his head and his eyes go cold, as four floating rock pillars start to rotate around him. Rick takes several steps towards Jason and throws a punch. Jason see's this and wraps a thick layer of darkness around his torso to protect him. Rick's fist collides with Jason's chest which sends him flying through a door and another 30 feet into the yard.

"Come on you can't even take a punch from an old man, that was only at half power. When your father was your age he was already a silver rank." Jason hears Rick's voice and he looks up but Rick vanishes and reappears only feet away from Jason.

As Rick gets closer his aura makes it harder for Jason to breathe, it has also gotten the attention of several surrounding neighbors who are watching from outside their houses. Rick's aura also affected the wildlife within 5 miles, Anything weaker than silver rank is either immobilized in fear or running away as fast as they can, gold rank creatures go into hiding, but the aura catches the attention of a Griffin that is in the dimond rank which started running towards them

Jason gets back to his feet after taking three more punches. By now a few of the neighbors made their way towards Rick and Jason.

"Hey Rick don't you think you are taking it a little to far this time, you don't want to kill the kid" says a Harsh voice. Rick stops in his steps and looks at the person who was talking. It was Jake Frantz, a lightning scout who's power level was just below Rick's. Jake was followed by his son Kris Frantz, and the other neighbors including Katelyn Sandreth, Zach Morris, and Devin Reed.

Jake was a skinny 5'8" with black hair that looked like a police officer. he was wearing your everyday forest green t-shirt except for a patch with a light green Lightning bolt and a white set of wings on both sides.

Kris was 5"10" with long blonde hair and was skinny but had a muscular build to him. he wore a gray hoodie with blue jeans.

Zach Morris stood at a chubby 5'8" with long black hair that was poker straight. he was wearing a royal blue jacket that made him look slightly more chubby.

Devin Reed is a miniature 4'8" with a slim build, short green hair. if you looked at him you would almost think he was a child but in reality he was actually 29 and the new medic in Rick's team.

Jason's holograph ring announced after scanning any new people and power levels.

Rick thinks to himself for a moment before stepping away. "I didn't mean to get out of hand." Rick apologizes as he walks towards the group in front of him. Jason is now standing about 20 feet away from the group when four system notifications go off at the same time.

[Extreme danger, rushing towards host fast.

Power level: dimond ra...]

The system's all get cut off by a loud bird like screech.

In the sky a large Griffin is diving towards the member of the group that is the farthest away. Rick and Jake notice where the Griffin is diving, Rick sends a large pillar into the sky to try and change the Griffin's path. Green colored electricity starts to move around Jake, who puts his hands on the ground and the electricity runs across the ground and up the pillar before turning into a pack of lightning wolves and jumping towards the descending Griffin. "Lightning style: Running beast's barrage" screams Jake.

The rock pillar pierced the bottom edge of the Griffin's wing, making it spiral towards the ground, creating a crater several feet away from where Jason was standing.

Inside the crater, the Griffin was already back on its feet. The Griffin was around 18 feet long and stood 15 foot tall with a 25 foot wingspan. As it stretched you could see every muscle in it's body as it moved. This specific breed of Griffin had the head, front talons and wings of an eagle with the hind legs and tail of a lion, but something was different about it's one leg, it had a red robotic front right leg.

Jason jumps back from the crater to get some distance, he can already tell with one look that he is not a match for a creature that is this strong, at Least not yet. "Even if I let you use my power you wouldn't be able to fight that creature" says a familiar voice, it's the black dragon that is sealed inside Jason.

As Jason makes it back to the group of people, the Griffin jumps out of the crater and rushes the group. Rick firmly places his foot on the ground and creates a cage to protect everyone from the charging Griffin. The cage takes an all out bash and almost crumbles.

The Griffin raises it's robotic leg and fire forms on the claws as it slashes and breaks the cage going after Jason's chest. Rick creates a small stone wall to try and stop the Griffin's claws, but the rock shatters. within a split second a ball of water shoots from a pouch that Zach was carrying "water style: water tremor." you can hear how shaky Zach's voice is, as the ball of water condenses and crushes the robotic arm.

Sadly that still wasn't enough, just the blunt force of the creature sent Jason flying 60 feet before stopping against a large oak tree. The elemental pressure that the Griffin released made Katelyn, Zach and Kris all fall to their knee's. Devin uses his nature element to continuously rejuvenate his body so he is hardly affected by the pressure.

Rick clasps his hands together "Rock style: 5 sealed Stone prison." then five chains wrap around the Griffin one chain on each wing, one around the abdomen and two around the throat, restricting the Griffin's movement. Jake snaps his fingers "Lightning beast style: great green basilisk" Jake smirks as a cluster of lightning bolts form into his soul beast, a 30 foot basilisk. This basilisk is a giant snake like creature that constricts the Griffin and starts to suffocate it.

Devin, Katelyn and the others make their way over to where Jason is laying. The force from the Griffin's attack had caused Jason to have internal bleeding of several different organs and several broken bones. Jason's breathing was extremely shallow, it was almost undetectable. Devin puts his hands together as if he is about to pray "Nature's medicine: vine of life." Devin says in a soft voice as he reaches out and a vine extends from his right hand starting to cover Jason.

After the vine spread over Jason something felt off, the end of the vine that was connected to Jason turned pitch black and the whole vine quickly followed until it reached Devin and his veins started to turn black. Jason was stealing Devin's strength to make himself stronger, this was a sign of element feedback. If two elements were incompatible, one element would take over the other and start to steal the host's cultivation.

Kris realized what was going on and in a blink of an eye, he wrapped a bolt of silver colored lightning around his hand and chopped the vine in half. Katelyn looks over at Devin. "What can we do to help?" she asked worried. Devin sits back for a second before jumping to his feet with an idea. "Katelyn and Zach, I will need both of you for this." Both of them nod their heads. "Follow my lead." Devin echoes as he puts his hands on the ground and focuses his energy onto one spot on the ground where a flower starts to sprout. "Katelyn it's your turn." he exclaims.

Katelyn follows what Devin told her to do, and places her hands around the flower and starts to radiate her light energy into it. Within several seconds the whole flower turns a bright, pure white color. Next Katelyn nods to Zach, who already has an orb of water ready.

Zach places the orb down beside the flower and closes his eyes as several tenticles form and stab into the ground where the roots for the flower are. After the whole orb has been absorbed into the ground, the flower quickly grows in size and blooms releasing a white light that washes over Jason.

In an instant all of Jason's wounds had healed and he was back on his feet slightly stronger than he was before.

At this point Jason is pissed because of what the Griffin has done to him, so he pull out the knife he received from Katelyn as a gift. Jason pours dark energy into the blade making the yin yang symbol appear for a split second.

[Host has forged a connection with a gift from a friend who has stored light energy in the blade, thus transforming it into the yin yang blade]

the ring informs Jason.

Devin steps beside Jason, his skin slowly turning into a thick layer of tree bark as he grew an extra 5 feet tall, standing just a few inches short of 10 foot. He wielded a large spear in one hand and a shield in his left hand.

This whole time Rick and Jake had been dealing with the Griffin and keeping it trapped. Rick had summoned his soul beast the iron gorilla, which had ripped off one of the Griffin's wings. Devin tossed his spear at the Griffin's back leg, the spear made a loud boom as it was thrown, almost as if it was moving at the speed of sound. The spear had transformed in mid air, growing two large, curved Barb's that stuck off the side so it didn't go clean through.

Jason smirked at the sight of this "Looks like you can't get away from this attack" he laughs as dark and light energies swirl around his knife. Again Jason hears the dragon in his head "Let's push your power to it's max" the dragon roars as it pours power into Jason, creating a set of black wings, dragon scales appear all over his body and a helmet that resembles a dragons head is also developed.

Rick sees this and doesn't know what to think, should he be proud or scared of what Jason has done. Right now, unfortunately he doesn't have the luxury of either. Jason flys toward the Griffin at full speed, ready to finish it off with one strike. "Black dragon secret knife technique: ying-yang twin slash" Jason growls as he swings the knife generating a small wave of light energy followed by a second slash of dark energy. The first cut mostly Stunned the Griffin and left a small cut on it's head, but the second slash finished the job almost cutting the Griffin in half.

Jason lands after finishing off the Griffin and reverts back to his original form. "see uncle Rick, I didn't lose control this time" Jason says with a smile. As he puts the knife away, Jason starts to fall as everything slowly goes black. "what is happening, why am I falling?" Jason screams but no words come out.
