I felt incredibly hot despite the soft sheet covering my body and the breeze that entered the room. A thin sheen of sweat made my skin feel sticky and gross as I pursed my lips together and tried to get up but found I had no energy to even stand.
"Rest Mer Ek," Suetekh's voice pulled me out of my state of confusion as I forced my eyes open to find him looking down to me.
His skin unlike every day I had seen him since we had arrived in his Kingdom, looked duller, he had dark circles under his eyes and his golden eyes seemed to have lost their glow. He looked extremely tired and that explained why I felt tired myself.
"What's wrong?" my voice sounded hoarse as my throat felt dry. A pounding headache hit my head as I once again tried to sit up but Suetekh's strong arm was quick to stop me.
