“Thank you for standing with me before. I apologize for the fuss,” Dennis said, standing next to Luca and hoping that they didn’t think Luca hooked up with a fool.

“My brother told me about that piece of pond scum and I told Mario, Vito and Tony. Someone who would steal from a sick lover isn’t worth the dog crap on my shoe,” Angie said.

The three brothers nodded. Mario seemed to be the spokesmen for the group. “We took care of it and will again if anything further happens. Susan and I will file a restraining order in the morning. She’s also a lawyer and we are licensed to practice in the tri-state area, New Jersey and if it becomes necessary, in Connecticut and New York. He won’t be able to get near you without severe consequences.”

“Yeah,” said Tony, “My good right hook.” He put up his fist.

“Tony was an amateur boxer in college and now thinks he’s Mike Tyson.” Eileen laughed as Luca pulled Dennis in closer to his body.
