He touched Dennis on the shoulder. “Dennis, I have your tea.”
Dennis turned and blushed. “I didn’t hear you knock, I’m sorry.”
“What are you working on?” Dennis turned an even brighter shade of red.
“Nothing, really, just messing around.” Dennis quickly took the canvas off the easel and turned it to the wall. “What time are we leaving?” he asked, obviously trying to draw Luca’s attention away from the canvas. Luca frowned.
He decided to ignore the small diversion. Maybe Dennis didn’t want him to see this one until it was finished. “We have to be in New Branford by three. It’s a three and a half hour drive. But I thought we’d stop for brunch on the way.”
“Okay,” Dennis said. “What time do you want me to be ready and what should I wear?”
“We’ll leave here at ten thirty. Why don’t you wear the Oxford shirt with the green stripes? I like that one on you. You can wear it with your new Dockers.”
