Chapter 17/END: Peace Ending

Crusadia team returned to the kingdom of the Kraton Empire after two days to overthrow the rule there but the people there did it already. The third class citizens with large numbers and hatred for the Kraton Empire were already high so they organized the biggest riot. Taking advantage of when the number of soldiers defending the city was dwindling and Korad's inexperience in managing the city without Everest's power and orders, they attacked massively deep into the city. The slaves surrounded the city of second class citizens and stopped providing food forcing them to be trapped in their own city. The castle was also attacked and the third class citizens captured Korad and all the officials and captured the whole kingdom. But the Crusadia team returned just in time when they were about to execute the evil leaders. Eva asked both sides to have a peace talk and she was only acting as an advisor. The side of the representative Empire was Korad and the side of the people represented was William. They sat at the table to talk and Korad said:

"How ridiculous, you dare to overthrow us after all this time we have let you live to serve the Empire?"

William replied:

"You have oppressed and exploited us with your cruelty. The emperor is dead and you still want to hold on to that brutal past?"

Korad said:

"Damn it, I can't accept this. What would the Empire be like if it were ruled by you."

William replied:

"With peace and people, let them live by their own strength and make them believe in a new state instead of fear."

There was nothing Korad could do so he had to stay silent. Eva said:

"William, I believe you can build a new kingdom, but the responsibility is huge you know?"

William replied:

"I'll do it."

Korad interrupted and said:

"But you were all once evil kings and nobles like me, maybe you'll make us the next slaves."

Eva said:

"Is that true, William?"

William replied:

"That's right, lady Eva. But that was thirty years ago, and now my hard work has transformed me into a better person.

We will live together, all will have common interests and the new leader will always be chosen in turn and not let power belong to one person."

Korad had no choice but to agree, and a new kingdom was born called Uta kingdom. William was chosen as the first interim leader for two years, and the lives of all people in the kingdom were equal. Crusadia team bid farewell to Uta kingdom to return to Highland Continent, the people there bid them farewell and Crusadia team left the kingdom and headed for Highland Continent. Crusadia team members standing on the zeppelin deck and looking in the direction of their home, Eva said:

"We're going home soon."

Zed replied:

"Yes, we are."

Suddenly Alata shouted:

"Everyone! Look! Home!"

What the Crusadia team saw in the distance was a familiar scene, the Highland Continent but it had merged with the mainland instead of being a continent in the middle of the ocean. Everyone was surprised but they were also very happy to be back home. The people of the Highland Continent were cutting wood to build a new house, when suddenly a child shouted:

"Everyone look! There's a zeppelin coming!"

Everyone hurriedly stopped all work and ran to see the Crusadia team's zeppelin, they asked each other if it was the enemy or our side. Laura came out of the tent when she heard the commotion outside, she had also seen that zeppelin and used farsightedness magic to see better. Seeing that the Crusadia team had returned, Laura smiled and said:

"Those are our heroes! They're back!"

Everyone cheered when Crusadia team returned, they ran to welcome them home. The zeppelin slowly landed on the ground with all the people around, Crusadia team returned home to a warm welcome from all the citizens. Laura met Eva, she said:

"Queen Eva, welcome home."

Eva replied:

"Wizard Laura, I don't know why, but the Highland Continent has merged with the mainland."

Laura said:

"Yes, it moved here on its own. But now we have plenty of resources to build our new home."

Eva replied:

"So let's do it together."

A swarm of giant white butterflies flew past them, they have returned to their home in the Highland Continent, life and nature are returning to this continent, for a new peace. They soon began to build a new kingdom, which was a union of four previous kingdoms and named New Highland Kingdom. They cut wood, built new houses, built farms and herds, and built a magnificent new castle for a great symbol of peace. Zed returned to The Dream Workshop, he looked at his beloved house burned to ashes and said:

"Well, they didn't take good care of you, did they?"

Eva showed the old The Dream Workshop sign and gave it to Zed, she said:

"We still have this."

Zed replied:

"Thank you, this means a lot to me."

Eva said:

"You're welcome."

Zed and Eva look at The Dream Workshop and she said:

"So, what are you going to do with it?"

Zed replied:

"Well, rebuild it, buy a lot of fake weapons, goods, alcohol of course. And give the place to Elastor and Julia."

Eva said with curiosity:

"For Elastor and Julia? Don't you want to continue being a shop owner?"

Zed replied:

"Oh, I'd love to. But I'm no longer fit to live the same dull life as before.

I'll live peacefully with Lamalia, have a few kids for sure, train them and watch them grow. That's more than enough for me."

Eva said:

"You said The Dream Workshop represented your dream, that it was the peace you've always wanted, and now you've got it."

Zed replied:

"Huh, thanks."

Zed and Eva turned and saw Elastor and Julia, they nodded to each other and walked together to a new castle under construction. The four friends were back together like when they first met. Zed Whitney, Eva Gloria, Elastor Magnum and Julia Manester. Two years later, a new kingdom was built and lived peacefully ever since. The New Highland kingdom became a rich kingdom and became a common home for all. They helped many new kingdoms that were appearing in the world to help them build new homes. And the story of the heroes of Crusadia team had become a great legend of heroes fighting against evil and war for good and peace. That the consequences of war were not only a good thing but also an important lesson for future generations to appreciate the peace they have and avoid old mistakes. Those who sacrificed were buried thoroughly, they were remembered forever through their writings, stories, songs, poems about their great exploits. People lived peacefully with each other regardless of culture, creed or races, they simply lived together. Our heroes also had lives of their own. Laura followed Exos's dream and she was living in a small house surrounded by wheat fields and enjoying a peaceful life. King Avator and the dwarves returned to their new forge and built many new machines for the many things of life. As a result, the kingdom's economy, agriculture, and industry flourished. Zed and Lamalia were finally married and living happily with their two children, Erin Whitney and Layka Whitney in a small house in a simple residential area. Edengaz became a traveler and adventurer exploring the world in search of new lands and meeting new civilizations. Grim and Belle got married and they opened a magic academy together. There Belle taught the next generation of wizards magic from the spellbooks from Paradise and invented many new technologies learned from the Kraton Empire for future life. Grim trained new generations of warriors in swordsmanship and taught them the Owl's samurai spirit of fighting with honor. Grim and Belle had three children, Kevin Yus, Kiona Quart and Owl Yus. Alata returned to the Orphanage of Friendship and continued with Sansa to raise and play with the children. He also buried Skeletor as a close friend and continued to fulfill Onias's dream of drawing the perfect painting. Alata completed one hundred of those paintings and exhibited them in a gallery called Onias. And those hundred pictures were all depicting everyone's arduous battle against evil, they were painted heroically to commemorate their merits. And the best picture was of the Crusadia team standing smiling together with their Elemental Spirits. Onias's painting was displayed by Alata privately in his room. And he continued to enjoy a free and loving life like a kid, which was already Alata, the happiest kid in the world. The Dream Workshop was rebuilt, still the same small two-floors house and grocery store, the first place to start every journey later was still there as it was. Elastor and Julia were the new owners of The Dream Workshop and they had helped boost the store's reputation. They had three children, Alan Magnum, Winter Magnum and Rosa Magnum. Such peace was too perfect. And finally inside the castle, along the spiraling steps, we went back to the way we had started, still the same way, to a small room. Inside the room was a little princess wearing a white dress sitting by the window observing the peaceful life of her people. Well, that wasn't a little princess anymore, it was the new queen of the New Highland kingdom, Eva Gloria, she was chosen by everyone to be the new leader. Eva sat there like the first time we met her, but now she's more mature than ever after everything she had been through. Eva said calmly:

"What a peaceful ending."
