His fingers, firm but teasing, gripped her waist, pulling her against his body. “Do you know what happens to those who defy me, little pet?” His voice was low, dripping with dark amusement. Corrupt Guards

Sevastian had taken over the duties of the King as he left for Nightshade. His table was filled with stacks of papers and documents. Sevastian had not blinked an eye in the past eight hours.

A sigh escaped his lips when the door to his study room opened, Rohan strolled into casually with a big book in his hand.

"Is that for me too?" Sevastian asked, his glasses sitting on his nose.

"Yes it is. How has it been going? I have looked at mine and found nothing of solid importance." Rohan placed the book on Sevastian's table with a thud.

"Oh, we have to keep looking. Azreal would have our heads if we do not give him what he wants." Sevastian stated.

"Our? I think you mean your head. You are the second-in-command, not me." Rohan teased.

"Tell me, what are you then?" Sevastian questioned, his left brow raised.

"Something like a librarian, someone who gives the information when needed." Rohan explained, leaning over another desk.
