I'll take her as my wife

"What are you doing?"

Caleb's cold voice sounded next to Aiden's ear and as a result, the latter jumped up in shock, throwing the phone away.

The phone went flying and slammed onto a wall before falling to the ground.

'Slash!' The sound of a glass breaking could clearly hear. It was Caleb's favourite glass swan which hung on the wall. It was broken into tiny pieces and some of its parts fell to the floor, next to the phone.

Aiden: "..."

Caleb: "..."

Aiden swiftly hugged his brother tightly like a giant koala.

"Bro, killing is illegal. Please, spare me, will ya? I'll be a good brother next time."

Caleb didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He tried to push him away but Aiden tightened his grip around his brother's waist.

Caleb took a deep breath to calm himself down.

"Let go!" He said, very calmly.

"No, no, I can't." Aiden stubbornly clung to him. "Otherwise you'll kill me."

"If you don't let me go right now, I'll definitely kill you for real." Caleb finally exploded as he yelled at Aiden.

Aiden swiftly pulled himself far away from his brother, keeping a safe distance between them.

Caleb looked at his phone. The screen was completely destroyed and the phone looked dead.

Aiden gulped and said, "Bro, don't worry. I'll buy you a new phone."

Caleb sneered sarcastically.

"I bought both my swan and phone from France. Can you really go there to buy exactly the same stuff as them?" He asked.

Aiden nodded his head vigorously.

"Of course, I can do anything for my brother." He said confidently. 'If I don't do them, I know what'll happen to my poor soul otherwise.'

"Okay." Caleb nodded his head understandingly before pulling out his office phone from his pant pocket.

Aiden was confused. What was he up to? His heart told him that it wasn't something good.

"Yeah, book one ticket to France. A flight fifteen minutes from now on? Oh, okay. Book it then. Yeah, yeah. No problem. He can get ready VERY SOON." Saying that Caleb hung up the call before turning to Aiden.

"A flight at 8.30 a.m. Get ready and leave." He commanded.

Aiden stood on the spot, dumbfounded.

It was 8.15 a.m. already. How could he possibly do that unless he was a robot or something?

"Big bro..." He cried pitifully.

Caleb turned deaf ear to him.

"So heartless!" Aiden muttered under his breath.

"What did you say?" Caleb asked, turning to him.

Aiden gave him a sweet smile.

"I was talking about Mrs Langstone, your mother. She asked you to meet her at the company. She said she had something important to tell you." He said.

Caleb let out a low 'Mmm.'

Having no other choice left, Aiden went to his room with a dark face and packed his bag by putting any cloth his hands touched.

'Aah, this one stinks.' He threw one aside and it fell to the floor.

After Aiden packed his stuff and left the apartment, Caleb also got ready to go to the company.

He wore a white shirt along with black pants and a long black coat. His perfect six packs body added an extraordinary charm to his black suit. He looked as handsome as ever although his aura had a bone-chilling coldness in it.

Grabbing some documents and the car key, Caleb headed towards the 'Langstone Corporation.'

His two main female secretaries, Reeta and Macie went forward to welcome him as soon as they spotted him walking towards the elevator.

"Good morning, boss!" They greeted him in unison.

"Hmm."

When Caleb saw Macie, he was kind of taken aback. He stared at her as if he was seeing her for the first time in his life.

Why did he suddenly feel like she and the girl from last night looked so much alike?

Macie felt weird and uncomfortable when her boss kept looking at her like he wanted to swallow her entirely.

Although Caleb Langstone was a playboy, he knew very well about the difference between work and private life. Hence, he never tried to sleep with his employees.

He rarely looked at female workers as every time he was at the company, he was immersed in work. Because of that, his female staff couldn't seduce him with their looks. Although they tried their best to appear like repaired Barbie dolls, he never spared a serious look at them. He just ignored all of them.

Caleb didn't notice Macie because of that. Adding the fact that she came to their company recently, he really didn't have the chance to look at her properly... until now.

Wearing a light purple shirt and a black pencil skirt along with a black coat over her shoulders, Macie appeared beautiful, elegant and stunning at the same time. Unlike most of the other girls he had met, she was so charming and simple. Her face wasn't a fake one either as she only applied very light makeup. She didn't look like an artificial Barbie doll. Instead, she looked like a natural beauty, a natural deity.

Reeta's heart burned with anger and jealousy when she saw her boss looking at that Macie bitch like they were lovers for years.

'Humph, he never looked at her like that before. Why... why is he looking at her like a love-sick puppy all of a sudden? Why can't he see me instead? I'm more beautiful than her. Even my make-up is the best. I spent three hours applying it just to impress him. But he...? He's neglecting me for that bitch?! I can't let that happen. No way!'

Reeta cleared her throat loudly. Caleb flinched and averted his gaze from Macie before saying, "Come with me."

Then the three of them used the elevator to reach his office.

"Caleb, son." As soon as Mrs Langstone saw her eldest son coming towards her, she greeted him with a happy smile on her face.

"Mom." Caleb greeted her back with a poker face.

Mrs Langstone was wearing a scarlet red dress along with black high heels and an expensive-looking diamond necklace around her long neck.

She was a bit chubby woman with a majestic, feisty and unapproachable charisma. Obviously, Caleb was the exact carbon copy of hers as he had the same aura and personality along with the same features and looks.

Mrs Langstone's smile faded away when she saw Macie following her son to his office room. Her eyes dimmed as she let out an 'Ahem!'

"I want to talk to you in private." She said to Caleb, emphasizing the word, 'Private.'

Caleb turned to his secretaries saying, "Stay outside until I talk to you."

The two girls nodded before leaving the office, closing the door behind them.

"Lock the door." Mrs Langstone commanded.

Caleb pressed the black button which was attached to his huge marble table.

With a slight click, the door locked.

"Is this room a soundproof one?" Mrs Langstone asked looking around.

The CEO's room was quite spacious. A humongous book rack filled with lots of books and files related to business stuff was situated in a corner of the room. A few flower vases were kept in a corner of the room, below the large windows.

Caleb let out a low chuckle.

"You're my mom. But you don't even know about these simple things."

Mrs Langstone glared at him.

"I'm busy." She blurted out.

'Yeah, yeah. You're always busy.' Caleb thought in his mind. However, he didn't dare to say it out loud.

"Yeah, It's a soundproof one. But why Mom? What's there to tell me so secretly that even my employees can't listen to them? I know it's related to business otherwise, you will never press on it this much." Caleb went on and on.

He was talkative sometimes. However, he was good at hiding that fact from others. He didn't need to do the same with Mrs Langstone simply because... she was his mother!

"Yeah. You're correct. It's related to business. But..." She paused as if she wanted to increase Caleb's curiosity.

"But what?" Caleb questioned rather impatiently.

"It's about your personal life as well. You have to get married."

Caleb blinked his eyes, confused.

"Get married... to whom?"

"The girl who came here along with you. Your new secretary, what's her name? Aah, right. Here it is." She took out a file from her bag and flipped to a certain page, pointing out a name on it.

"Macie Valentina. That's her name, yep. You must marry her."

"Okay." Caleb nodded his head without hesitation.

"I'll take her as my wife."

I wish I have an obedient son like Caleb although I'm not even married yet. Lol ( ;
