I ran and hugged her; she slowly hugged me back. I couldn't believe she had saved herself. 'I mean, did Paulina let herself go? Maybe it isn't as bad as I thought.' I shrugged off the good thoughts I was having of Paulina. I think she's just as horrible as Madam Agatha Durham, if not worse. '
"Marlene can't breathe!" Mila said.
I let go of her and looked at her eyes. Her face looked pale, and her eyes were dry—her clothes were tattered. It's my fault. I wouldn't be in this mess if I hadn't approached her.
'Stupid Marlene! She was just a child. Mila didn't have anything to do with what Madam Agatha did; Mila tugged on my dress; I bent down to her eye level, and bearing to look her in the eye, my gaze fell at my feet".
"Marlene, please look at"me!" she said."
"I want to go home, please. I want to see my mom, dad, and baby brother," Mila replied.
'Baby brother? Her mother is pregnant?' I carried her in my arms and turned around to see Agatha standing there with a remorseful smile."— "My grandbaby," she said.".
"Marlene, who's she?" Mila asked. She's grandmother, Agatha Durham," I replied."
"She's not my grandmother," Mila said, squirming around in my arm. Agatha's smile turned upside down, and then I was face to face with my stepmother; "Mila, where are you?" I screamed, and my stepmother cackled menacingly.
I was frozen in my spot, and then she took this chance and attacked me; she threw me in the air, and I fell with a loud thud. I cough out blood but stand my ground and fight him."—- "You bloody witch, what did you do to Mila, and why would you impersonate Madam Agatha?" I screamed.
I threw punches at her without stopping until I saw blood coming out of her nose, and then I pushed her to the ground. I grabbed a branch with thorns, and as I was going to stab her, I heard Mila's voice echoing through the wood".
"Mila, I'm coming," I said.
Then, I fell on the ground, blood everywhere, already dead! Why would you do this to me? You took everything from my mother, and now, you killed me."'
"You made him mad, leading him to live on the streets until those dogs ate him all, "I said.
"You and Madam Agatha are the same, both equally hostile and ruthless," I managed to say in my last words.
I closed my eyes. I could still hear Mila'sla's tearful voice echoing, ' I can't go like this without a fight. ' Lord, please, I must get revenge for my family.'
Mila opened her eyes and looked around, seeing herself in the hospital with Julia, her mom, and her dad sitting beside the hospital bed. Her mom held her tiny hands tightly in her hands; "Mom, where am I?" Mila softly asked.
"Mila, you're finally awake. Did you know how worried I was?" Amy said, hugging her daughter tightly.
She was happy to see her alive; after Julia called upon not seeing Mila coming out of the room, the police broke inside and found Mila passed out on the floor. The woman looked at her with hatred in her eye".
"Why am I in the hospital?" Mila asked.
"You fainted, and your forehead had blood all over. Don't worry; the police took the woman in for questioning." Amy said.
"Where is Grandma Agatha? Where is Marlene?" Mila asked.
"My mother, she's in heaven! Who's Marlene?" Amy said, looking at her daughter with a questioning look."
"No, she can't be in heaven because Grandma Agatha did hostile things," Mila said.
"Mila, let me not hear you say that about your grandmother ever again," Amy scolded.".
"But, Mom, I must save Marlene. She's in grave danger, Mila said."
"Mila, stop this talk! Let me get Dr. Jenkins, Okay? Amy said, leaving the room.".
"Mila, who is Marlene? Who is Paulina? And Why were you in danger and crying?" Julia asked.'
'It feels so real! But they all think it's a dream! I know it's not, and I must save Marlene Caldwell from her stepmother.'
