Number 1

In the middle of nowhere...

"In other news, the city of Los Angelos, Califonion was attacked by a 20 meter long snake. This monster was able to massacre tens of innocent citizens and a part of the police force."

In a dimly lit room you can see 12 people sitting around a round table. There were 8 men and 4 women. The Men wore black and white classical suits while the women wore skintight black suits. On each of their suite there was a number which represented the power they had. The weakest was 12 and the most powerful was 1.

After shutting off the TV, Number 1, who was about 190 centimeters with blonde hair and blue eyes, turned around to the rest of the members and asked sternly, "So, why has no one even bothered to check out this area?"

He waited for a moment to see if anyone would speak up. When no one did, he gained a noticeable frown and said, "This case was already suspicious when people started to go missing at the Los Angelos Forest, so why did no one investigate."

Finally, a tall women stepped out. She had long purple hair, dark purple eyes with milky white skin, and a curvaceous body. She said sultrily, " C'mon baby~, cut us some slack. You know monster sightings have gone up a bit the last couple of years. We've been really backed up, in more ways then one~." The rest of the members didn't bat an eye at what she said. They knew she was very flirty.

Number 1 then said, "Number 6, that is no excuse. Many innocent citizens have died and for what? It was because of us neglecting our duties." He sighs, "Number 6, I want you to go find where this creature lives, and if possible, capture it. If it is too hard too capture, then you have permission to kill it."

"Mouuu~ alright, fine I will do it just for you baby~." Number 6 says.

"Alright, the meeting is adjourned. Go back to your missions." Number 1 commanded.

POV: Number 1

*Sigh* Why does my job have to be so goddamn hard. All I want to do is protect the people, but the rest aren't trying hard like me. They seem to not even care about others, only caring about themselves and their families. If only I could use my powers freely then I wouldn't have to waste my time with these useless people.

I remember when I was a child. Although I was born to one of the most prestigious families in the United Areas, I had a carefree childhood. I often used to spend time playing out ion the garden. However, it all changed when I first started to manifest my powers. I remember that horrific incident like it was yesterday.

I was 5 years old at the time. Like usual I was playing out in the garden with the maids. The garden was beautiful, there were all types of flowers and plants making the garden have a colorful appearance. Something a child like myself loved to watch when I went outside. Anyways, while I was playing in the garden I started to have the worst headache I've ever experienced up to that point.

I started to scream loudly, it felt like I was going to die. I shut my eyes and started to roll all over the ground, at the time I would've done anything to make the pain stop. And it did, I was ecstatic. I wanted to cry with relief that it was finally over, that is until I opened up my eyes. A gigantic hole is what I saw. The mansion, the garden, even the maids were gone, and in the middle of that whole was a tiny ball.

The ball had multiple colors, green, brown, red. But, I couldn't be relieved because I knew what had just happened. In my family we have an inherited ability that allows us to suck everything into a single point from a certain distance and compress it into a tiny ball, we call it the Black Hole. This ability usually doesn't awaken until the inheritor hit puberty. But, it looks like I was a genius, however, it came at a cost.

My family, the maids. the garden, the mansion. All of it was packed up and compressed into that tiny little ball. Thinking back on that time I realized had my grandfather not been out on business then I would have most likely killed myself from the guilt I had felt. My grandfather ended pulling me out of my depression and showing me a way I can redeem my sins. So, I trained and trained until my ability got so powerful that there was no other ability inheritor that was stronger than me. I then created a secret organization that collected abandoned ability inheritors and trained them so they wouldn't lose control like I did.

Once I had set the foundation of the organization, I set out to hunt and imprison animals that gained abilities, or monsters. This was the way my grandfather showed me. The way to pay off my sins.

I don't know if this is good or not to be honest. I thought this way was really the best way in my opinion to go about adding powers into the original world instead of something like everyone had powers because it would probably make the original world arc longer. This is going to be a fanfic not an original novel, lol. Also, I tried to change the writing up a bit and show the thoughts of the characters. Next chapter will be the MC's POV.
