Chapter 1

*RRINNGG RRINNGG*

The sound of the phone ringing on the night stand woke the person on the bed.

???: "Uuhh it's so loudddd"

A hand reached from under the blanket trying to stop the alarm.

???: "Y/N ITS TIME TO WAKE UP!"

Another voice was heard from downstairs.

Y/N: "I am up already no need to shout"

I got out of bed with my eyes still half closed and walked towards the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for college. After i was ready I went downstairs to have breakfast with my bestie who is more like a sister to me.

Y/N: "Goodmorning Rai"

Rai: "Morning sweety. Did you have a good sleep?"

She said while surving me food.

Y/N: "It was nice while it lasted. My alarm ruined my sweet dream."

I said while pouting. I grabbed the fork and started eating my food.

Rai: "Y/Nie I will have work until late today so make sure you lock the doors when you are back ok?"

Y/N: "Yes I know"

Rai: "Ok good. I am leaving now I hope you have a good day at college. Bye"

Y/N: "Bye Rai"

And then i heard the main door close which meant that Rai left the house. Me and Rai are the same age however she dropped out of college after the first year was over and I continued to study.

My parents live abroad but Rai on the other hand doesn't have any parents. She is an orphan but she considers me her family and so do I.

Rai has went through a lot ever since she was young until now and I have always been there to help her out. She and I both have a job to keep are selves stable and to be able to pay bills.

I have a part time job in a supermarket while Rai...well she is a dancer. A dancer that is considered a stripper in some people's eyes.

People would think that she is disgusting because she sleeps with many men who are different ages but she isn't like that. She is just a dancer and nothing else. Being 18 and without parents to help you is a struggle you can say.

After i was done with my breakfast I took my bag and left the house on my way to college. My relationship with my parents isn't that bad honestly. They send me money once in a while to keep me on my feet but I don't complain. I reached my college and I went straight to my lesson. I don't have many friends but I don't really talk in college. You can say I am one of the quiet kids that are considered nerds.

*Time skip*

After college I made my way to my part time job. I was put on duty to fix the shelves today. While fixing the shelves I heard steps coming closer towards me and I though the person will just walk past me until they spoke.

???: "Excuse me miss can you help me"

I looked at them and replied.

Y/N: "How can I help you sir?"

???: "I can't seem to be able to find the dog food. Do you mind showing me where it is?"

The dog food? I though to my self. I then turned slightly to the side and looked at some of the shelves that were next to us before I looked at the man again.

Y/N: "Sir do you mean the shelves of pet food over there?"

I said and pointed to where I was looking at earlier.

???; "Ah yes there it was. I am sorry to bother you I didn't check the shelves properly. Thank you for your help."

He said with a smile and walked towards the pet food and I continued my work. After some time I looked at the time on my phone and realised that my shift is over so I went to get my things from the staff room and left the store. As it was already 8 it was dark outside but I didn't mind. There was a slight wind which made me relax.

Y/N: "Aahh I love the night sky and cool wind."

I said and continued walking. I stopped at the bus stop and started to wait for my bus to arrive. A few minutes passed and the bus still didn't arrive but I was still gonna wait until it comes because my house wasn't that close to where I work.

*bark bark*

I looked to my left and saw a cute dog.

Y/N: "Aawww aren't you cute"

I bend down and pet the dog.

Y/N: "Where did your owner go?"

I said and looked around but I didnt find anyone.

Y/N: "Did you run away?"

I asked the dog like a crazy person as if the dog was going to reply to me.

???: "There you are "

I heard a deep voice and I looked towards the person.  To my surprise it was the same guy from the store who asked about the dog food.

???: "Why did you run away like tha- oh it's the nice lady from the store"

I smiled a bit and asked.

Y/N: "Is this your dog?"

???: "oh yes. I am sorry if he scared you?"

I chuckled.

Y/N: "The dog is too cute to scare me."

He was about to say something but then I saw my bus coming so I cut him off.

Y/N: "oh my bus is here. Have a good night sir."

I said and got on my bus to go home. After i got home I made sure to lock all the doors like Rai told me to do. After that I went to take a shower and change my clothes and then make myself some dinner. After having dinner I went in my room to sleep because I was so tired.

*4am*

I woke up because of the rain drops hitting the windon as if they were hoping to break it.

Y/N: " Aahh I hate the rain"

I complained and pulled the blanket over my head to make the sound less loud but it didn't help.

Y/N: "This stupid rain won't even let me sleep."

I said and then I stood up from the bed and went out of my room to get water. I drank the water like there was no tomorrow and then I though of checking on Rai. I went to her room and I just opened the door without knocking because I didn't want to wake her up. I took a pick inside the room and due to the light shining outside her room I got a clear view of her bed but I was very surprised with what I saw inside.

Y/N: "R-R-Rai?"

I walked further insidethe room and check her bathroom.

Y/N: "She isn't back yet? She did say that she will be back late but it's already 4:30."

I said while looking at the clock on the wall. Rai usually has morning shifts so she comes back around 2:00 but now she is 2 hours and half late. But maybe they changed her shift but if they did she would have told me.

Y/N: "well I guess I will just wait until morning to see if she is gonna be back."

I said and went to my bedroom to sleep again.

*MORNING*

I woke up and got ready for college. I walked in the kitchen expecting to see Rai serving food on the table but she wasn't there. I went to her room again as I am sure she wasn't sleeping as she usually gets up before me. I knocked on the door this time but I didn't get a reply so I just opened her door and again the room was empty. It was like nothing has been touched ever since I looked inside her room last night.

I took my phone and called her but there she didn't answer. I send her a message bit still no reply.

Y/N: "Where are you Rai?"

I was getting nurvious thinking that something might have happened to her. I know at which club she works at but she has always told me not to go around there even if I got something importand to tell her. I decided to not go to college today and wait for her to come back just in case. I waited to get a phone call or a reply to my message but still nothing. An hour went by followed by 2 and still nothing.

Y/N: "Sorry Rai but I won't listen to you this time"

I took my house keys and left the house. I am going to her work to see if she is still there. 

After a long 2 hours of traveling I finnally found her work place and went straight inside. The smell of alcohol was so strong and the smell of cigarets mixed with the alcohol made me feel sick. I walked towards the bar tender and asked him.

Y/N: "Excuse me sir do you by any chance know a girl named Rai?"

Bartender: "May I know who is asking?"

Y/N: "Oh I am her bestfriend who also lives with her."

Bartender: "Well hello pretty lady but I am sorry Rai isn't here. She left the club last night with a guy and his guards."

Y/N: "A guy?"

Bartender: "Yes a guy. She doesnt usually leave with guys but this time she did. It kinda looked like she knew him too."

Y/N: "oh ok thank you so much."

The bartender just nodded his head and continued with his work. I left the club fast not being able to handle the smell any longer.

Y/N: "Could she have slept with that guy?"

I asked myself confused to understand what I just heard.
