Chapter: 2 A strange encounter

HUMAN REALM: (Viviane's POV)

I woke up to the ringing sound of my alarm; the very rare mornings when I wake up by an alarm and not a horrible nightmare. Anyway, this was the second week of college, I was a freshman and was still trying to find some friends in my class. Sadly, my dear friend, Tara wasn't in my section so, I was surrounded by a bunch of strangers.

I had studied in an all-girls school but unluckily the college I got approved for was a co-education. OMG!! I was absolutely horrible with girls so how the hell am I gonna meet up to the men's expectations, not to mention that I was running late! I wanted to wear something stylish and eye-catching today.

If I was going to keep up with my college girls. I was panicking when my phone started to buzz. It was from Tara. Just the person I needed to talk to. On the phone,

Tara was yelling:" Where are you, the half assembly is almost over!."

I replied:" I can't decide on my outfit!" She said:" Why? you dress up daily what's the matter today?"

" Well, I wanted to look special today. I don't know but for some reason, I want to live my life to the fullest." "

Oh, my stupid friend! I'll help you."

" Thanks a million, times."

" Yeah, make sure you wear that cute crop top I got you and pair it with some jeans, and don't forget to wear those black sneakers you bought last week."

I agreed with her: "OK."

As she was instructing me on how to dress up; we were on a video call, and I was fumbling through my cupboards, creating a huge mess in my room. After a hell of hardworking, I got dressed up and reached college.

I was breathless and running through the halls when I bumped into someone, knocking him over, spilling all my books, over the floor, and to make it even worse I landed on top of him, pinning him on the floor. I wondered if he broke any bones?. He had a hood over his face, now revealing his face.

Those eyes, those mesmerizing eyes I had seen before, but as I strained to remember our first encounter, my memories became hazy.

He said after a long moment:" How long are you gonna stay on top of me?" Oh! My god! I was so lost in thought that I forgot that I had been on top of him. I immediately stood up, pressed my dress to make it neat again, and offered him my hand.

Yes, I felt my face heat up and was probably blushing but it was good manners so I kept my hand out but he just ignored me got up and said:" Watch, where you are going!"

My reply was:" Yes, I'm sorry, this won't happen again."

He just went away leaving me to pick up my books. A few moments later I was accompanied by Tara to my classroom.

She said:" WOW!! You are making progress already!."I was so clueless that she poked me in my shoulder and said:" I mean you're literally falling for guys."

I said:" No way, that was an accident and he was so cold."

" What did you expect?"

I chose not to reply and went to my classroom. I was literally dead after the last class of my college. Tara came to pick me up and we went home in silence, as we both were too exhausted to speak.

When I woke up after three hours of deep sleep, I was totally energized and refreshed. I picked up my phone and saw that Tara had texted me. As I was reading the text, I was also making a snack for my grumbling stomach.

The text said that Tara had the solution to my problem of nightmares but in order to know the solution I had to go to the nearest shopping mall. I immediately knew that Tara was asking me to come to "PRINCESS PARADISE"; her favorite mall.

But something so great was only gonna happen if I had no assignments. So, I hoped that I had no quiz or test the next day and opened my notebook. Oh! Today was gonna be so awesome....

We met in the shopping mall at 6 pm. Judging from the gang Tara had brought with her, I wasn't gonna enjoy it as I hated everyone's company except for Tara and Katie. I was confused, if Tara was going to find a solution to my problem, why the hell did she bring the whole gang with her?.

As Tara spotted me and started waving at me and called me over, and as I got closer I couldn't recognize any of the girls with her, so they were the new girls from her class, Oh great! she had already gotten new friends in the first day of college.

Tara was beaming happily and said:" Meet my crew, this is Stella"; to a strawberry blonde and fair-skinned girl, then introduced two identical girls with unburn hair and green eyes, they were Melissa and Vanessa, the twins.

Lastly, she introduced me to a shy, short heightened girl who had eyes like me, deep blue, with dark black hair. Rachel.

All of them looked like red carpet models if compared to me. As I had forgotten to introduce myself to them, consumed by worry that I was going to lose Tara.

Tara nudged me with her elbow and asked me:" Hey, um aren't you forgetting something?"

And then I said: " Oh! I am sorry, my name is Viviane, you can call me Viv, and I am in the class next to Tara."

Every girl greeted me with smiles and some even shake hands with me. Here, I was with a bunch of new girls again.
