The Failures of a Mother

My dear handsome darling, you have not seen me for quite some time. Though its been four years, why do I still remember you so? To be honest, I kept a picture of you all this time. But a picture can not even show the full beauty of your dazzling aura, or the emotions in your eyes. I still miss you every second we're separated. Although my love is one-sided, you still are the only one that has managed to capture my heart.

"Mommy, can I have some snacks?" Her little darling child asks.

"Of course you can, not too much." She answered with love in her eyes.

The child was an exact replica of him. Everyday he grew more handsome, but the child had her smile and eyes. Sean, my dear child, this is the name I gave you when you came to me. You cried endlessly through the first night you were home with me, yet you were all I had. Your father isn't here, I am sorry. I have failed to give you a family. But you should know, I gave your father everything he wished as long as I was able to achieve his wish.

Mommy tried to please your father, but he....he...loved another woman in the end. He shoved me out of his life, but I could not shove him out of mine. Regarding emotions, mommy failed. I should get over your father as many people told me, but I didn't listen. But do not think, even for a moment that I regret having you. You are mommy's only happiness, her only hope. The man that lay beside Nova eventually woke up. The nurses saw that the girl had gone and alerted his family and friends.

"Darling! Oh, you nearly have me a heart attack when you risked her life to save that lowly woman."

The man's wife, Rosalie was trembling.

"What?" The man was looked disoriented and confused as he stared at the woman before him.

"Honey it's me! I'm your wife, Rosalie!" She was scared, what if he really forgot her? It took me so long to get you to marry me. She started trembling, and eventually tears started falling down.

"Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom." She said as she hurriedly walked out. What do I do if he actually doesn't remember me? She kept asking herself.

"No I remember." He whispered, a name rolled off his tongue,
