The Descent of the Conqueror

I don’t usually read stories with non-human MC’s, but I’m finding the white dragon form compelling and immersive. The shapeshifting into human form helps keep the story relatable and balanced. I love how the quotes at the beginnings of many of the chapters enhance the worldbuilding and give insight into aspects of the culture that support the plot and give depth to the characters’ actions. New words and concepts are introduced in an accessible manner instead of an info dump, which I greatly appreciate. The goals of the characters are clear, making the plot easy to follow, but not predictable. I’m not sure I would have guessed English wasn’t the writer’s first language if not for an author’s note. Very promising book, keep up the good work, Author!

I think one of the best aspect of this novel is the way is the world-building is showed. Instead of a character from a 'minor place' who know nothing about the world and the universe. We have a character who is smart and well-educated. Other thing that I enjoyed is the fast-pace and the battles. If you enjoy this kind of novel, then give it a try. My only problem would be the writing, but I can understand the reason why would be difficult to adapt for while. But I can assure that it is worth to give it a try!

This story is about a race of body snatchers. Our MC snatches the body of a white dragon. For those hoping for human MC, don't worry. He can polymorph into human. The MC knows what he wants and is willing to do a lot to get it however he is not one of those evil MCs who go around killing people. The fight scenes are marvellous and the worldbuilding is top tier. Only tiny issue is that author has a habit of telling instead of showing. However, this does not break the immersion. 10/10 would recommend.

As the synopsis suggests, it's about a white dragon (ps, white dragons are my favorite among all the other dragons) moreover, I like how the book has a formidable pacing and no information dump. The key informations are revealed one by one and each chapter gets more interesting. The writing is even throughout the chapters and honestly 😤 It's the type of book, which isn't often available on this platform but definitely worth every second!! My only concern is about the updates, but apart from that, 10/10 and definitely recommend 🤍

I liked the world-building they initiated. The premise and the direction of the universe seem intriguing, and I enjoyed the concepts. The progression of the story is intriguing, and I particularly enjoyed the descriptions and details. Considering it's your first piece, I believe it will only get better in the future.

Dragons, one of my favorites, now Author has worked hard here, I like how he refers to the MC, its still too early to judge the whole story overall, but up until now it's been entertaining, and consistent, looking forward to more chapters, keep it up Author

It's darker than expected, but conquerors aren't comedians. The MC is a higher being inhabiting a dragon's body with a single goal. He's not afraid to use any resources to reach it. Interesting concept, worth a read!

Great book, i enjoyed reading it and i really like how descriptive the author was with the world setting aswell as the characters, their emotions and interactions. Def worth it to give it a try atleast.
