The incident with Elizabeth part 2

"What in the world did I miss" I said as I see the surrounding land. I then hit the ground hard and several of the roots that kept me intact broke on impact. I didn't feel pain when several of the roots broke, but felt something break on this body.

"Ok if I can't move this body, then I'll try to move using flowers" I said as I used [Flower Field] and created flowers around me. I then controlled the roots of the created flowers and launched them towards the Alpha. The roots began to bind its legs to the ground making it unable to move.

"Groaagh" Roared the Alpha. To be honest I didn't know root creatures could roar, until now.

The Alpha tried to move its legs but could see that it couldn't. It looked at the roots and moved its spear like hands and began to cut the roots of its leg. Seeing this I began to send more roots towards its legs.

Seeing this opportunity the church members began to attack the Alpha with everything they have. This included people with their broken weapons, their hands, and nearby items.

As the alpha was getting bombarded by attacks it kept on trying to break the roots on its leg, but every time it did break the roots on its legs I would always make more latch onto them. As the Alpha continues to break my roots still the church members regroup and plan something out mid battle.

"How do we beat this thing" one of them says, "it's made or roots, so why don't we set it on fire" said another church member. "Those roots have to be special if they are keeping that creature up and are withstanding all our attacks" a church member says. In reality the Alpha was actually made by regular old roots, the only reason why it hasn't fallen yet was due to it combing its roots to the broken roots, causing it to appear as if their attacks did nothing to it.

They continue to argue with one another, which gave the root creature enough time to break out of roots constricting its legs. I tried to wrap my roots on its legs, but the alpha became smart and turned its roots into several tentacles and was able to escape the attack. Soon the Alpha began to charge towards the group of church members that were still arguing with one another on how to beat the Alpha.

"Great god of the forest heed my call" before the Alpha could reach the unaware group of church members several of the roots on its body began to wrap around the Alpha and constrict it, stopping all of its movements. "Huh" the church members finally turned their heads and saw the Alpha on the ground with several of its roots stopping it from moving. "Jeez these and you guys are supposed to be the elites" hearing these words angered the church members and they turned their heads to see the person who said these words, but that angered soon disappeared and was replaced with fear as they could see who it was that said those words.

"Elizabeth Barnes" one of them said as they could see the blonde girl walking towards the alpha with a crystal blade in hand. Following her was none other than her brother Byro Barne, who was at this point looking at the ground in embarrassment. The reason for this was because of how his sister was acting right now. As they approaching the body they stopped when their gazes landed at a figure who was coming out of the destroyed carriages.

"How did this happen" I said as I lift a piece of wood off my body. "I swear bad things happen to me so many times first it was the two headed ogre now this." I walk to Elizabeth who had a look of fear for some reason, the reason for this was because Reds root body changed drastically . Instead of the usual flower face it was replaced with a human face with skin, this was thanks to one of his skills known as 'Fake Flesh'. The reason for it being active was due to him wanting to hide his appearance from the others and not get blamed for the alphas out break. This meant that his entire body had flesh that was completely made of mana, the reason why Elizabeth was scared was due to half his face being ripped off showing a gory scene on his face.

"What's wrong" I said seeing Elizabeth face as she looked at my own, "Y-your face" Elizabeth mutters before handing me a small mirror. "Is it really that ugly" I said, as I look at the reflection I finally see why she was freaking out. "Oh sorry about that" I say as I activate 'Fake Flesh' once again and fix my gory face. "Probably got like this when I was activating 'Fake Flesh while I was still buried under all that rubble" I said to her. "Also how did you know it was me" I ask her, I was concerned since if she could figure it was me then that would mean others would to.

"My taming mark reacted when you were walking near me" she said lifting her hand up showing me a beeping mark on her hand. "I see now, so I don't have to worry about others knowing its me" I say to myself, but that was quickly broken when I heard Byro say "Oh hey Red nice body." If I could vomit blood I would be doing that, in fact I could right now thanks to 'Fake Flesh,' but I wont since it might make the situation worse. "How did you did you know I was red" I say to Byro "I heard you and Elizabeth talking, you two weren't quite at all" He says as he looks at the others. I could see several people looking at us.

"Well this beats the purpose of activating 'Fake Flesh'" I say to myself, I still keep it active though since I already used up a lot of mana by just using the skill. I walk towards to the Alpha on the ground who was tied up in his own roots. "So this is Elizabeth blessings power, I wonder what else it can do" I say as I look at the roots on the Alphas body. It tried to control its roots and make them stop constricting it, but for some reason none of the roots that were used by Elizabeth would obey his command. "Is she able to control plants and make them only obey her, if so I better make sure she doesn't become my enemy."

"Red do you know why this happened" Elizabeth asked as she saw me gazing at the Alpha with an intense look. I don't respond to her for a couple seconds before saying "it broke my control due to it being far away from me and being injured by someone" I say to answer her question. The only reason I know was because of the question I asked the system when I was unable to move.

"Hey system why is the Alpha no longer listening to me"

[This due to the host not having the skill known as 'Mind Tower' that allows the host to keep control of Root creatures that are far away from the hosts main body or consciousness]

Turns out due to me not having a skill that belongs to the same flower species that has the skill 'Root creature,' any root creature that are far away from my main body or a body that my consciousness is in can act on their own and will try to attack any and all nearby life for some weird reason. "So system how long will it take for me to reach this Flower species evolution?"

[The host is able to reach the Species known as 'Flower Armada' within the next evolution if the hosts evolution goes the right path]

Hearing what the system said got me confused "what do you mean 'the right path' are there 'paths in evolution?"

[Imagine the hosts evolution tree as a spider web. There are turns and paths that the host will take and at every turning point the host has to choose an evolution. All the paths that the host chooses will all lead to the final evolution 'The Demon Flower']

(For those who didn't understand this, basically Reds evolution tree is like a spider web. He starts at one of the corners of the web and goes towards one of its turning point and has to choose to go straight, right, or left. Once he chooses one of the evolution options he will go on another path that the evolution he choose was on. If he comes back to the same path as he was on before and he chose straight he will have to choose to go either left or right for the evolution tree.)

"I get it now" I say as I finally understand what the system said. "Don't you have something to fix this?" Hearing these words snapped me out of train of thought that was imagining the endless amount of evolutions that I could evolve into and the amount of abilities I could use. "Sadly I can't regain control of this creature and it will take along time before I could regain control of this root creature." I could have bought the skill but didn't due to the system revealing something I didn't know about.

[All skills that belong to this species and are on the path of this species price will double for every skill that is bought within this path]

This meant if I bought a skill that belongs to this path the others skills that are this path will also increase, meaning that I will have to create more soul coins, meaning that I have to get more souls. Seeing this problem and what could happen in the future if I buy to many skills, I told myself to not buy any skills unless its necessary. I'm getting the skill needed in my next evolution so I don't need to worry about it to much.

As I answer Elizabeth question I walk towards the Alpha and look at it "its a shame that such a good creature has to go, but you disobeyed me." I then destroy its head where its flower was contained and soon enough its entire body began to fall apart leaving nothing but broken roots on the ground. "If that's all then I'm out" I say as I prepare to leave this body, but stop when I hear someone shout "Wait!"

I turn around and see several church members running towards me, I was planning to wait for them, but prepared to leave when I heard one of them shout "you have to pay for the damage." Hearing this I look around and see the damage that the Alpha did and think on how much it would cost. After thinking a bit I realize that it would cost a lot to pay for the damage and I also have no money on me so that was not good. "I'll leave this to you two" I say as I look at Byro and Elizabeth. "Huh" they say and were going to say something else, but I quickly left the body and head to the one that is in the netherworld or as the people here call it 'hell'.

As I return I'm introduced to several bats flying around and attacking creatures made of roots and in the middle of this was the demon princess. "Oh no" I say as I instantly realize the problem. I get up and begin the hassle of now dealing with this worlds Root creature revolt.
