Although he had moved quite a few steps away from her, Torak was still the closest to Elara, so not only did he get pushed back by the current but he had also been severely injured from the energy, first reason being that, the energy that had exploded from her body was pure energy and he being a demon, it had directly attacked the demon energy in his body. Second reason being that the distance between him and her was not that much so he had been hit by the ride with all the force it had exploded from her body with.
