“I didn’t want this Izan, this is all your fault” she said looking away from the mirror to look away from him. “I know but I need you and you agreed to this, so it’s not my fault after all” he said forcing her face to look back at her. “I did not, you coerced me into this so don’t you turn this on me, now please let’s get on with what is necessary” “I am not sleeping with you, sex is intimate and sacred” she said standing to walk away from him. Monsters Don't Think

Can you keep a secret?

✿✿✿

Izan didn't look away and neither did he speak with her as he stood rooted to the floor.

"Wait...What happened?" her mind was a whirlwind of questions. The last thing she remembered before getting there was been kidnapped by Rico.

Cold and ruthless Rico.

"You were saved by His Majesty" the male behind Izan spoke making even more questions fill her brains.

"His Majesty?

"Saved?"

"Yes, King of the underworld King Izan Alexander the third and yes, he saved you from a criminal"

Neera chuckled slightly and not by how amusing the situation but by what the male was speaking. Wasn't Rico some untouchable devil whom no one messed with or was Haelyn just too paranoid and scared of him. That she made him all high and mighty.

"How did you save us?" she asked abruptly wanting the details as to where Rico had taken them before they were saved and what happened to them before that.

"You don't want to know, my lady"

Neera let out a dry laugh, "Try me" then continued to sit at the foot of the bed.

Watching and Waiting.

The male was about to speak again but Izan rose his forefinger up to stop his endless speech.

"Leave us" Izan ordered making Neera internally flinch at his tone.

How was his voice always so sexily cold and was that even a thing, sexily cold voice?

After all of the maids and the butler (she guessed) left, he finally moved.

She was angry at him although she had no right to be. They were his responsibility (or so he claimed) but he left them.

He was the reason (and her father) that she was in this place in the first place so he was to blame. For everything.

"Tell me how you saved us and where is Haelyn?"

"She is safe and I don't need to tell you the details about how I saved you but you weren't in very good health when I found you,

that's all you need to know Princess"

"Right and how long have I-We been here?" she asked again.

"A week"

A sigh of surprise left her mouth as she crossed her legs one over the other. Izan's gaze slid lower to exposed side of her thigh and although he simply enjoyed seeing the sight he said nothing about it.

"We've been out for a week, just what did Rico do to us" Neera unaware of her current predicament continued to speak to herself.

"You have been out not your friend, she's still recovering"

"Ok" Neera just accepted what he said because even of she knew the details there was nothing that she could do about it.

"Where are we?"

"Might I show you" he asked with a small smile at the corner of his lips thinking that maybe that would erase all his previous mistakes.

She was still mad at him even after that Charming smile. "Yes, am still mad at you so stop giving me that smile"

His features fell instantly in almost what she would say was annoyance.

Of course he thought she was annoying.

Everybody did even her father.

As a royal there is many things you learn concerning people. You learn to read body language, it's a lesson in which you have to sit down and take lessons from a young age.

At that time it's one of the most annoying lessons in your life but later you realize just how important those lessons were.

How much information you can acquire from observing the body language of a person.

Like now, she could tell a difference between a glare and a look. She was in a carriage with Izan and his gaze was fixed on a sheet of paper on his hands. His brows were knit as if in confusion.

They had already made a couple of stops and he was the one to tell her about their whereabouts.

But everytime he talked he seemed... distracted. And the people he had introduced her to did not look at him like he was their king (with honour respect and pride), they looked at him like he was some enemy.

Someone they didn't want to be in their presence but he was and he wasn't leaving any time soon.

.

"Are you cold?" he asked sneaking a peek at her attire.

, black in colour plus a corsetted white blouse.

Compared to the other ladies earlier, their dresses were warmer but uncomfortable. She had worn those type of dresses all her life so she could relate.

She felt warm and comfortable. So cold was the least of her worries.

"No"

He then made eye contact with her then at her hands, "Why are you fidgeting so much?"

"I don't know...it happens" What sort of question was that? Fidgeting was natural right. Her hands always shook, ever since she went to those underground prisons, they shook.

"Has it always happened?"

She nodded looking outside the window and everything about outside caught her attention.

"Can we stop here?" she asked interest brimming her eyes.

His eyes snapped to outside the window and he finally understood why she was so interested in what was outside.

"Yes" the carriage immediately stopped and and she almost jumped out of the carriage but she slowed herself down.

Remembering that she was accompanied by the king of the 'underworld' and she couldn't portray bad image.

Walking out by herself she eagerly walked to the edge of the lake. It's beauty was incomparable.

No lake in Arcadia was this magnifying in beauty. There were blooming flowers on the other side of the lake plus the sun shinning above her made it just better.

"Don't swim in it or even touch the water" he reprimanded walking closer to her and admiring it's beauty too.

Neera eyes narrowed in confusion, "Why?"

"Demonic treasure's are alluring but evil, in there, there are monsters that won't think twice before ripping you into shreds" he said seriously deep in thought so she decided to break the ice.

"I don't think monsters think Izan" she sat at the foot of the lake, right beside him. And finally he looked at her with a slight smile,

"That's the only thing you understood from what I said"

"No, I heard ya"
