"So-, so-, SON." Keith yelled as he watched his boy collapse to the ground. His face pale and sick. His body limp and cold. The only signs of life were his heartbeat that was slowly beating inside his chest. "Damn it that hurt. Must have hurt more for the boy though." Keith was pushed into the wall from the impact. Hurting his chest and back. 'Only a few ribs broken. Nothing that hasn't happened before'.

"Ugh, dad? Hey dad, where are you?" His son said as he forced himself to go into a sitting position. "Over here, hey boy, what do you think about the name Neil?" The boy looks at him with a strange look. "What don't like it?" "REALLY?!?" "What I think Neil is a pretty good name." Keith looked at his son like he was hurt by his words. "YOU wake ME up at 3 in the morning or something. Put me through a COMPLETLEY RANDOM chant thingy." "-It's called a ritual-" "AND THE FIRST THING YOU SAY IS 'Hey you like this name?' LIKE DUDE, I could have just died there off of the pain alone. Let alone you are worrying about someone finding us. Who by the way I still haven't met yet." Neil starts going off on his father. Never ending his endless ranting as he rips his old man a new one. "Hey, HEY now this was for your own good, I'm not going to be around much longer, and I mean look at you, you're like a newborn baby without any parents left. I mean you haven't even found a girlfriend yet. I mean dude your eighteen. Stop dragging my name though the mud already." As they begin arguing for the next few minutes trying to decide who was more embarrassing.

20 minutes later

"Enough boy. The people are closing in on us." Keith shushes his son. "What people dad? The other old men in the nursing home?" Neil taunts his father one last time. "Yes, the other old monsters who have come out of their dragon nests to hunt me down." Keith looks at his father like he just ate something that he was saving for himself. "YOUR A DRAGON?!" "ITS A FIGURE OF SPEACH DUMBASS!" Just as they finished arguing with each other the roof of their house gets ripped off with one swing of a mighty large axe.

"KEITTTTHHHHHHHH! COME MEET YOUR MAKER!" An angry voice screams as another swing of the axe cuts the house in half vertically. "Hurry get into the teleportation circle. It will send you to somewhere where you can grow and flourish into a proper master." "But father why can't you come with me?" Neil looks at his father with slight worry. He's always known that his father was stronger than average, but he didn't know if he was cut a building in half with one swing strong. "I mean the other half of the house was literally obliterated. What can you do against a monster like that?" Keith looks at his son with mixed expressions. "Someone needs to stay here and close the portal, and they have their ways of tracking me. A soul bind." The two of them look at each other for possibly the last time. At last Neil nodded in understanding and leapt through the portal to an unknown location.

Closing the portal Keith cries a single tear. "ALRIGHT YOU COCKY OLD BASTERD. LETS FINISH THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL" Keith cried out as his body lets go of all the restraints that its been under all these years. "FINALLY... What were you doing in there old man? IS THERE SOMEONE IN THERE?!" The general smiled with a devilish grin. Knowing that the old man wouldn't give the artifact to some random person he was 90% sure that he was still carrying it. After all the only way to remove it was death, or worse.

"COME!" The general shouts at the top of his lungs. Uncaring of his soldiers or the villagers he unleashed his full aura. Destroying the trees and hills he lunged at Keith with his giant war axe. Keith charges forward with bare fists. Dodging the axe and uppercutting the general in the mouth. "Why do you want my life Gaja? You still can't be salty about your spirits soul, can you?" The general pops his jaw back into place. "Shut up and get serious. Or I'll kill you." Keith smiles and takes out a rusty long sword and charges his weapon again. The rust falling off while the weapon starts to glow. "Let's get serious then."

----

The village has been laid to ruins. The houses burnt have long cooled in the winter winds. The only sounds around the old ruins of the village were the sound of monsters fighting. Not normal monsters like goblins or slimes, but old monsters who have lived for far too long. Two different silhouettes stood among the misty morning clouds. One wielding a great battle axe. The other, A glowing long sword. Both had their fair share of wounds, both new and old. Clash after clash resulted in a long battle spanning throughout the whole day.

At night fall they stood facing each other. Both breathing heavily, standing with their clothes drenched in sweat. Weapons still looking like brand new. "So... ugh... who was in the house?" General Gaja questioned as he shoves his dislocated shoulder back into place."Mr. Fit." "Mr. Fit?" "MR. FIT DEEZ NUTS IN YOU MOUTH." Keith replies with a stupid smile. Lunging at the general Keith while getting ready to end it. "ENOUGH!" The general shouts as he uses a shockwave to catch Keith off guard. Slamming him into the remaining wall of his house and tearing off his left arm with his giant war axe. "Where is the holy item, Keith? I don't understand why you won't just give it to us. The emperor needs it. It's his inheritance." Keith looks at the general with a tired but satisfied look. "You'll never find it. I've hidden it in a location where you will never find it." The general looks disappointed. "We'll search to the ends of Faouron until we find it. Whatever... just die already." Finally swinging the great war axe upwards, the general cut Keiths body in two. Finally releasing his tormented soul into the sky above. "Get rid of all the evidence. Make it so there was no town ever here." The general says as he looks at the dark cold winter sky. His soldiers, already having gone through countless wars, didn't even flinch at his request.

"Ugh... Gack... Bleagh." Puking on the sidewalk like an old drunk, Neil slowly stands up on his own two feet. "Where did that old man send me?" He finally looks around his surroundings. As soon as his father shoved him through the portal the doorway dissapeared. As if space was healing itself.

-Understanding of space +.5%-

"What the fuck was that?" Looking around frantically for the source of the voice. Worrying that one of his attackers managed to cross the portal too through some unusual means.
