Chapter 13: Awoken from an Internal Sleep

"Beatrice, about what happened in the hospital..." Crisanto said, the class is already over and Eric was getting dragged around by his fan girls, which he took as an opportunity to confront Beatrice about the hospital incident.

"Oh- um... I... Uh... " Beatrice couldn't find a word of what she's going to say since she had totally forgotten about the incident that happened because of the mission she got before she went to school.

'Please someone! Save me from this awkward confrontation!' Beatrice panicked, as she is sputtering with her words. She wanted to say that, when she was with him she felt at ease and she doesn't know why.

"Okay, okay. Beatrice take a deep breath and calm down." Crisanto advised holding her shoulders as his face was closer to Beatrice's face.

Beatrice mind went blank as she could feel her heartbeat goes crazy, Crisanto's eyes make her distracted as she felt her cheeks starting to heat up.

She swallowed hard as she backed away but she accidentally lost her balance causing her to fall taking Crisanto with her as she managed to get a hold of him.

"Kya!!" She squeaked as her back meet the ground, Beatrice looked up and was meet with a pair of Crisanto's lip in accident making the two's eyes widened in shock.

The two immediately pulled away. "I'm sorry!" Crisanto apologized instantly while Beatrice back was facing him and didn't respond. She stood up and grabbed her bag then sprinted away from the scene.

"Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! Why didn't you pulled away in a second your lips collided with his!" Beatrice stated to herself as she slapped her cheeks to make her forgot about it. She let her feet take her some where far from that place, and it take her at her mom's hospital.

Beatrice was about to went in but hesitated. "Should I?..." She said to herself. 'You don't have to, besides, your at fault why she's in there anyway. The one that should be in a coma is you, not her.' Her inner self spoke to her, making her grit her teeth.

"It may be my fault but I want to see her once more, so shut the hell up." Beatrice made her inner self shut up and walked inside, she greeted the nurses and went on her way towards her mother's room.

When she arrived, the room's door was slightly opened making her wonder who would visit her mother aside from her, Beatrice hold the handle of the door and opened it quietly, there on the hospital bed, she couldn't believe what she is seeing, her father was talking to her mother who is now awake.

"M-mom...?" Beatrice voice cracked as her mother and father look at her both of them are smiling. Her mom opened her arms for a welcoming hug that she will give to her daughter. "Beatrice... Sweetie, it's so good to see you all grown up." Beatrice tossed her bag to the side and hugged her.

"MOM! Y-your... Your awake!" Beatrice cried in her mother's arms as her mother stroked her daughter's head as Beatrice continued to cry in happiness.

"I'm really not dreaming right?! Your really awake right?! If so, I don't want to wake up if that's the case!" Beatrice exclaimed as her mother comforted her.

"I'm real sweetie, this is real, all of this are real." Beatrice mother stated as she copped her daughter's cheeks and wiped away her tears. "Mom is okay now, so please don't cry sweetie. I know you blamed yourself for this but it's not your fault, I choose to took the hit to protect you." Her mother admitted as she kissed her daughter's forehead.

"You'll understand it someday when you find someone who you love, and you want to protect them with all of your life." Her mother smiled, but then Beatrice father interrupted.

"Woah, woah, woah, woah. Nope, falling in love is a huge no no no, honey. Our daughter is still young!" Beatrice father retorted, causing her mother to glare at him. "She can't avoid it Darling, you know that our daughter is all grown up. Falling in love is just normal in her age." Her mother responded, Beatrice looked at her parents back and forth.

"I'm sure Beatrice already had someone that catches her eyes!" Her mother exclaimed, while her father always denied it. "Well... I'm sure she didn't!"

Beatrice giggled causing the two to stop and look at each other then nodded. "Well Beatrice tell your mother that you hadn't fallen for someone!" Her father stated, Beatrice looked to the side nervously and kicked her feet to the floor as a small blush formed on her cheeks.

"W-well... T-there i-is s-someone... T-that manage to c-catch my interest..." Beatrice admitted as she twirled some of her hair, her mother beamed while her father's mouth are hanging open in shock.

Beatrice seems to be in her own world as she touched her lips unconsciously, which didn't go unnoticed by her parents. Her father looked done for while her mother is squealing in excitement.

"What is he like Beatrice?" Her mother asked her, she's eager to meet the boy that manage to steal her daughter's heart.

"Um... His handsome... His polite... His also so fluent in English even though his not from here... His also always making me happy whenever I'm around him... " Beatrice described dreamily, her father was now sobbing in his wife's arms as his wife comforted him but totally supported her daughter's decision no matter what since she's already in the right age to have a boyfriend.

"He seems perfect for you sweetie! I can't wait to meet him! Maybe someday you will come and visit here with him!" Her mother suggested, Beatrice blushed as she thought about what happened a minute ago.

"Um... About that... Something happened a minute ago..." Beatrice started as her lips became a thin line, making her mother became serious about it. "What is it? maybe I could help." Her mother stated as Beatrice was hesitating to say it.

"I accidentally lost my balance and fell on the ground along with Crisanto, when I looked up, our lips collided with each other... And I didn't get to say sorry at him because I panicked and run away." Beatrice explained, her mother chuckled in amusement. "So eventually that was your first kiss?" Her mother said, making her avert her eyes from her mother.

"N-no... My first kiss with him... Is in the hospital." Beatrice admitted. "I knew I shouldn't leave you two alone!" Her father exclaimed making her wife pinch him causing him to stay silent, afraid of his wife's warth.

"That's nice then!"
