Blanca hated to let go of the devastated and panicking Cherry and her son, Paolo, but Dimitri's grave looks as he ended his call from Liam left no question that they weren't totally out of danger yet.
"Come on," he said, walking over to collect them. "We can't delay here much longer. It's best if we get moving."
"Back to Liam's safe house?"
"Yes. There isn't time to rest. It'll be daylight in a few hours. My driving skills tend to suffer when I'm a little uncomfortable."
"I can drive."
"I don't trust your driving skills, Blanca!"
"Are you serious right now?"
