The others commenced to gossip among themselves, and the rulers looked appalled to hear what he mumbled. Then the noise was broken off, and the chiefs began to communicate among themselves, throwing skeptical glances at him.
The second chief, who hadn't spoken at all and whom Dimitri was seeing for the first time, turned to his followers and barked in a strange language.
