The next day, everyone from Liam's pack had gathered in the centre of the massive meeting room, including those from the Jaguar pack, where the banquet tables had been cleared away to make room for a platform.
High above this spot, the points of the gigantic glass ceiling slid apart. Warm, golden light spilt inside. A huge black werewolf shape shot down, landing on the platform in a crouch and howling so loudly that Blanca had to cover her ears. Slowly, alpha Liam's growl echoed the gigantic meeting where everyone in his pack gathered.
Werewolves in different shapes and sizes howled with him in unison, then abruptly stopped when the alpha halted.
