Rose's betrayal

Rachel looks up at the creature in panic.

Its eyes are completely black, and Rachel cannot tell if its eyes are focusing on her.

Rachel and Rose stay hidden just out of the creature's sight. They emerge when they notice the creature has stopped turning.

Rachel stands up and stumbles backwards.

Rachel says "Where is it going?"

The creature slowly turns around and walks back to where it came from. Before walking off, it knocks Kyle's severed arm off to the side.

The creature disappears into the trees behind the warehouse.

Rose starts to act strangely complaining about Kyle's death and how everyone is going to hell. Rose tries to calm her down.

"We need to check where it's going," Rachel suggests.

They begin to head towards the trees where they think the creature went.

Rose keeps complaining of Kyle's death insisting they go back to the warehouse to find his boss so he can give them all the information they need to find the rest of the creatures.

"We don't have time for this. It could come back."

Rachel says.

Rose insists, grabbing Rachel's arm and leading her back Into the warehouse.

"I was hoping this thing won't come back... Looks like we can get to work now." Rose says.

Rose says that Kyle created her but this confuses everyone and makes them uncomfortable.

"What do you mean," Rachel asks

Rose says they must talk to Kyle's boss who can fix this. They begin to make their way back to the warehouse.

On the way, Kyle's boss makes his first appearance, and he isn't pleased. He appears very angry.

Rachel approaches the man with Rose

"What does Rose mean? You created her!"

She says in a panicked manner. He begins to laugh and Rachel Begins to get angry.

"You're a joke. Your whole kind is a joke."

Rachel asks "my kind?"

Rachel begins to worry about what he might be talking about, but he doesn't elaborate.

"Listen you little squeal, this is the end for you and everyone else like you."

The man threatens.

Rachel says "What are you??"

"What do you mean what am I?" The man says in an annoyed tone.

Rachel say "And what does Rose mean, she says you created her"

The man pauses and gives a smug look to his face. "Fair enough, I created her." The man explains.

Rachel says "So what is she?"

The man explains that Rose is an Android, with an electro-mechanical body.

Rachel says "Are you and Rose working together?"

The man explains that he created Rose along with several other Androids to take down the creatures once there has been plenty of destruction

Rachel says "You want there to be destruction but why?"

The man explains that he wants humanity to be able to rebuild and flourish, with new improved beings.

"So what are you then?"

Rachel says "Are you an Android too?"

The man explains that he is a human that has had his flesh replaced with cybernetic implants. He says he prefers the term 'Synth' as it implies a higher state of being than just a human.

Rachel says "you can't let the world get destroyed by these things"

The man pauses

"Well it looks like you've got it all figured out, but one thing I should mention is I'm not on your side."

The man explains.

Rachel says "Go figure"

The man explains that he does not care for the world. He plans to keep Rachel here at the warehouse to stop her from interfering. He then explains that he will leave with Rachel, Rose and her group.

Rachel says "I refuse to help you," "I refuse to be a part of this."

The man gets closer

"I don't think you realize the consequences if you don't!"

He grabs Rachel's arm and begins twisting it.

"Do you?"

He continues twisting Rachel's arm.

Rachel says "What? You will kill me?"

The man stops twisting Rachel's arm.

"Oh, I'm simply offering you an ultimatum. death versus your help."

Rachel says "I want to get out of here away from you"

The man laughs

"I don't think so."

He grabs Rachel's other arm and starts twisting again

Rachel says "Stop that"

The man stops twisting Rachel's arm

" I want you to help me!" He starts twisting her arm again.

"Stop it!"

Rachel says "I won't help you. "

Rachel stands up and punches the man in the face, he falls back into the table, knocking over the chair he was sitting on.

"Don't you dare touch him." rose says

Rachel says "I can't believe you betrayed me Rose"

Rachel walks over to the man and starts kicking him

The man tries to grab her foot but she pulls away.

Rachel say "I trusted you Rose"

Rose looks at Rachel and turns away

"You're right, I'm sorry, it was Dean"

Dean starts to stand up

"Alright, enough!"

He pulls Rose away from him and he turns to Rachel.

Rachel punches him.

"I guess you're not going to help me after all," Dean says

"Sorry about that, but that's just how the world works sometimes." Rachel punches him in the ribs.

Dean falls in agony, screaming in pain.

"The world works my way." He manages to say.

Rachel walks away while Dean continues to scream

Rachel tries to find a way to get back home and find her dad. Eventually, Rachel finds an abandoned vehicle. Rachel starts the car. It should get her where she wants to go.

The car starts up just as the sun is setting.

Rachel drives home.

Rachel follows the road until it turns into gravel and then into the dirt. Eventually, Rachel comes to a small rundown town.

Rachel heads to her house to find her dad.

Rachel arrives in the small town of Hope's Crossing. Rachel looks for her house and heads on the driveway

The garage door opens and Rachel's father steps out.

"DAD!"

Rachel runs up to her father and gives him a big hug.

"I missed you"

Rachel say "you won't believe what happened to me"

Rachel's dad gives her a tight squeeze then pulls away

"I don't think anything could surprise me."

He grabs Rachel's shoulders and looks her over.

Rachel says "Rose is an Android and she's working with a guy who wants to see the destruction of the town"

Rachel's dad's jaw drops.

"Are you serious?"

Rachel nods her head

"And they're planning to kill you?"

Rachel nods

Rachel's dad's jaw drops even more

"Are you sure?"

Rachel says "I'm sure dad"

John shakes his head

"I can't believe it!" He pulls Rachel into another hug.

Rachel says "What do we do?"

John takes a deep breath

"You wait here for a bit, I have to go get some things then we'll deal with this."

Rachel says "Wait, dad, let's have some rest first"

John nods and hugs Rachel one more time

Rachel's dad walks away and Rachel finds a spot to sit down and relax a bit.

Rachel heads into the house.

The sun is about to rise soon and Rachel needs rest if she wants to have any chance of beating Rose and Dean when the two of them finally come for her.

Rachel wakes up early in the morning wondering what her dad is doing and why he hasn't come back yet. Rachel decides to go look for him, but as she leaves her house she hears a noise from the forest.

Rachel says "Dad?"

Rachel approaches the house and finds a note on the door that says "Sorry, had to go to the City. Will be back soon!" Rachel shrugs and goes back to sit on the front step.

Rachel says "I hope he's okay"

The wind kicks up and Rachel gets a little chill. The morning is cool and she realizes she doesn't have much clothing for the type of weather they're having.

Rachel waits for her dad to return.

Rachel is sitting on the front step of her house and has been there for hours.

Rachel asks "Where is he?"

Rachel looks down the road and sees a man walk out of the forest on the far side. It's her dad!

Rachel rushes down the street to meet him.

"Dad!"

Rachel says "Where did you go?"

John looks down "I had to clear my head"

Rachel says "It's dangerous, you should be careful "

Rachel's dad sighs

"I'll be fine, let's go home"

Rachel continues to go home in silence.

When Rachel enters the kitchen her mom is there.
