CHAPTER SIX

Every day Tristan woke up with the hope of finding his mate but it seems fate has other plans for him. No matter how hard he tried and not matter how carefully he looked at every lady who he saw every day, none of them seemed to have glowing eyes.

Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and Adrian wasn't having it. He didn't expect things to be as difficult as they were for him. He was doing fine as Tristan Stone and has now gotten used to being Tristan stone.

As much as he loved the way he was treated in the human world and how different it felt compared to his world, he knew he had come here for a mission and time wasn't smiling with him.

It felt like a blink of an eye and eight month passed yet Tristan didn't come across any female with the glowing eyes. He thought he might have seen her and not recognized her and so he cried to the moon goddess to come to his aid.

"What is it again, Tristan, son of Mateo?" The moon goddess finally spoke to Tristan after eight months.

All the while he kept calling to speak to her, she didn't answer him and it drove him insane.

"Moon goddess!" Hints of surprise were placed on Tristan's tone when he finally heard the moon goddess' voice again.

He thought she had forgotten him and was waiting patiently for him to fail so she could take him back.

"I appreciate your kindness, Moon goddess. I am grateful that you have decided to answer me and it is an honor once again to hear your voice. Thank you so much," he appreciated.

"It seems the life of Tristan Stone is now in line with yours as you speak the human words so perfectly now," the moon goddess said.

"We speak the same language with the human moon goddess but the humans speak the advanced version," he replied.

"I see. So tell me Tristan, why have you called me? How has the human world been treating you?" The moon goddess asked.

Tristan pinched the bridge of his nose. "To be honest, my life here is far different from the one I had back in my world. I feel more comfortable here and it is the exact opposite of my life. Funny enough I envy Tristan Stone. He has the life I have always wished for," Tristan said.

"You can have a life like this if of course you are able to break your curse. So tell me how it has been going?" The moon goddess asked.

Tristan heaved a deep sigh. "I'm sure you see everything Moon goddess. It has not been easy for me at all. I haven't come across anyone with the glowing eyes and at this point I'm afraid I might never be able to find her. I don't know if I am in the wrong place or if I am not searching well enough and some other times, I feel you are trying to make it this difficult for me," He spoke what he sincerely felt about the situation to the Moon goddess.

"So you think that I might have deliberately made it hard for you? Why do you think so?" The moon goddess questioned.

Tristan shrugged. "I mean you were the one who placed the curse on my father and I so it's only fair if you made it a little tough for me," he answered.

"I see. The human world is exactly the opposite of how your world is and the life of Tristan Stone is the kind of life you wanted. You can get all of it, and that is if you can break the curse," the Moon goddess said.

"I know," Tristan ran his finger through his hair.

"I know that moon goddess. I know that for sure but where is she? I've been in the human world for over eight months and there has been no sign, Moon goddess. I have tried my best yet nothing," he said to her.

"Maybe your best isn't enough, don't you think? Why do you think you haven't found her? I remember telling you that it won't be easy and do you think if you see her nose, the curse would break immediately?"

"When you finally meet her, that is when the real work begins and I tell you it's even tougher than finding her Tristan, son of Mateo."

"I have just sixteen months and..." The moon goddess interjected.

"Sixteen months is more than enough for you.  You still have a day and some hours in your own world and I know you can do it. I won't be answering you anymore so do not call me. This is your mission and I can't guide you as you want me to. I cursed you so it is your mission to break the curse." With that, the Moon goddess' voice disappears.

  Tristan groaned. "Fuck!"

He started to use the curse word five months into the human world and it was a habit he picked up from Simon.

  ••••••••••

"One shot of tequila," Tristan said to the bar man. The right months Tristan had spent in the human world has made him adapt to a lot of things. He was now eating the things Tristan Stone liked but he didn't. He adjusted to the life of Tristan Stone and was now able to stand alcohol.

"Here you go sir," the bar man dropped his shot of tequila for him on the table.

  "Thank you," Tristan said.

"Can I get a shot of Whiskey?" A feminine voice spoke.

The voice of the lady was soft and melodious that Tristan couldn't help but turn. The moment his eyes landed on her, his lips parted slightly.

She was like the most beautiful being he has ever seen. The lady who noticed someone was looking at her turned and her eyes met Tristan's.

The moment his eyes met her, he saw her eyes glow. His eyes fluttered as he thought he had seen wrong but he didn't. Her eyes were indeed glowing and then it occurred to him.

'She is the one.' He said in his head.
