"Are you ready, Aimee?"

A warm smile from Alpha Vincent greeted my gloomy morning. I felt embarrassed when he approached me in the courtyard like this. Not because I was watering the plants but because of the sharp glares from pack members who clearly despised and disapproved of my proximity to Alpha Vincent.

Although I have been subjected to this hostile behavior for a while now, I still can't get used to it. Yes, I hate it when they give me these scornful looks. I feel more intimidated than usual.

"Vincent, you've arrived."

Yes, now everything feels even more annoying. Why did Alpha James have to come now? Wasn't he sleeping with a beautiful woman he brought last night? What kind of dream could he have had to wake up before eight in the morning?
