Who are you Maria?

Grandma Netli looked at me carefully and with a strange look in her eyes and with a loud scary voice than her usual one

"Serena, be careful. It better to backoff because you...."

"Serena!" A voice from the front door came.

It was Maria, and her parents

"Mom-dad" Oshwin shouted with happiness.

"Serena, what a pleasant surprise!" Maria's mom said

"Mr and Mrs Harrison, how are you both?" I greeted

"We are extremely well, what about you dear." Maria's father asked

"I'm fine Mr Harrison." I said on a smile with a face.

"Come on Serena, let's go to my room." Maria said

"Yeah but Grandma Netli wanted to tell something to me." I said looking at grandma

Maria gaved her a stunned look.

"Oh nothing my dear." She said trying to smile

"But-" I said

"I forgot my child" Grandma Netli said

And Maria took my hand and tool me to her room

"I get some cookies and coffee for both of u." Maria's mom said as we were going upstairs.

As we came upstairs, Maria closed the door.

"What happened? Everything okay?" Maria asked in panic

"Yeah" I replied, "I'm just here to thank you for yesterday."

"It's totally fine you know. All of us deserve this credit like...." She began

"No Maria- I'm not here to say you thank you for supporting me and coming with me." I said

"Then" She tried acting as if she was confused.

"Don't act naive Maria, even you know that I was stuck into a portal and Rodulf was about the suck as my energy, if it wasn't for you, helping me up...." I was interrupted by her

"Serena, I'm really not understanding what you are talking about..." She tried acting as if she wasn't aware about things.

But I got really pissed at that time as I said in an angry tone

"Drop up the act infront of me atleast Maria. You knowing what's gonna happen next and hinting us up, you telling me the right thing on the right isn't a coincidence."

Maria was drop dead silent

"Who are you Maria? Who are you?" I asked firmly.

I realize that I was being stubborn and trying to be superior over her, when she has only helped and as saved my ass every damn time.

I embraced her into a hug.

"Okay I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout, but my life has changed into that extent where I have no idea what's going on. Uncle Ben was murdered and my heart isn't ready to agree that and on top of this my life changed so drastically from academic pressure to this supernatural power. I don't know where to seek answers from but I'm so sorry, I had no rights to shout on you. I had come to say thank you but." I had a complete break down. I vented out all which I kept in my heart pretending to be very strong.

Maria hugged me back, very tightly

"Chill, I know what you are going through, I can feel up your energy."

She made me wipe up the tears and looked at me straight into my eyes.

"Do you really wanna know whom I'm." She said

It was a time for moment of truth. I had goosebumps. I nodded

"You promised to never tell this to anyone?" She asked

"I promise" I told

'Please don't be a witch, please don't be a witch.' I was praying to God that  Maria doesn't tell me she is a witch.
