A man with wide-open eyes looks around, all around him is nothing but large green trees and a beautiful clear blue sky. A large sun decorating the top of the sky. The man slowly sits up, feeling the soft grass underneath his hands.
"Holy shit….so heaven is real? Haha looks like I need to apologize to that bastard. Unless he is in hell. If he is hell I should be there as well."
The man said to himself as he looks around himself again, he could not believe it. Heaven is real. So that means God is real as well?
"I will like to have a word with God if I can…I just have some questions to ask"
The man said to himself before his eyes landed on his stretch legs. He was wearing the same thing he had on himself before he dies, his comfortable pair of shorts and shirt. He breaths in, ready for the moment of truth as he tries to bend his legs. To his surprise, his legs did as he commanded, tear forming in the man's eyes. He could feel his legs, after such a long time. He could move again.
"hah…guess heaven it's great"
He said to himself as he cleans the tears building up in his eyes. As he slowly stands up, he wobbles a bit. After such a long time not standing up, the change in perspective confuse him a bit. He takes baby steps, his hand stretched out so he can balance himself. Slowly with every step, he regains his old proficiency when walking.
As he takes his first normal step, the man could not control the smile on his face. How good it feels to return to his normal self, it almost felt like he never fought in that horrible war. All the friends and family that die, will he finally be able to meet them here?
"my mom will freak out when she sees me"
The man said to himself, a bit anxious but also happy for the future. He waited in this spot for a few minutes waiting for an angle to pick him up and lead him to the gates. But as no one reveal himself he started to get worried, slowly beginning to walk forward.
"Strange, are we supposed to walk to the gates our self?"
He wonders to himself, not being a religious man himself. While some might turn to religion in their darkest time, he did not know. It only made him doubt it even more than he already did. As he continues to walk, the figure of a city enters his view.
Judging by the distance it seems to be far away, probably a few minutes of walking. But as he gets closer to the city, almost leaving the forest, a sound catches his attention. Soon in front of him, a green rabbit with a horn jumps out from the bushes. Eating some grass, the rabbit looks at him for a second, the rabbit sensing how weak he was, turns its body toward him. It was not often that a free dinner will present itself in front of it.
"A Horn Rabbit? What is that doing her-"
But before the man could finish talking the rabbit rushed towards him at a fast speed. The danger senses of the man went off as he jumps to the side, evading the rabbit with poor skills. The rabbit angry that it misses an attack against such a weak human turn again as its rushes toward the man.
As sweat builds up on the man's forehead, he dodges again. This time with more skill as he takes a fighting stance, his hand slowly reaching for something next to his feet. The rabbit angrier than before readies its 3rd attack, it jumps toward the man. Its sharp white horn pointed at the man's neck.
The man focuses heavily on the monster in front of him, some might want to close their eyes and protect their face when something sharp comes flying at their face. But years in the military make you forget such basic defense mechanism, only when once one has lived between life and death will they finally understand the worthlessness of such action.
Soon the rabbit reaches his strike range, as he moves his arm with great speed. In his hand holding a rock, he found it in the ground. The rock crashes with the rabbit's head, and the sound of flesh breaking sends shivers up his spine. The rabbit gets sent flying, landing on the nearby ground, fresh red blood escaping the newly open wound.
The rabbit suffering from a concussion shakily tries to stand up again, but a large cold shadow covers its body. It knew its fate, it looks like even weak humans are something to fear. Soon the sound of rock against flesh echoes in the forest. The man with nothing but the adrenaline in his system beats the rabbit to death with a stone, his clothes, face, and hand covered in the warm blood of the rabbit. Bits of its brain stuck to the stone. The man breathes out as he throws the stone away.
"What the fuck is going-"
But again, before he could finish a mechanical voice echoed in his head, and soon a transparent blue screen appeared before his eyes.

As the man hears and sees what is in front of him, a burst of uncontrollable laughter escapes his lips.
"Hahah hahah! So, you telling me this is not heaven!? I am still alive and on top of that, you put me inside of a fucking game!? Fuck you Fuck you Fuck all of your life you piece of shit!!!"
The man screams and curses at the tops of his lungs, what else is he supposed to do? He is still not dead, he still can't have eternal peace with his family and friends. Has he not done enough?! Why must he continue to live on? What happened to his real body?
There is no way it's still usable after a fire. Also, since when did virtual reality become so realistic? It has been improving no doubt, even having some real good games he has played for his channel before. But nothing of this scale.
"ha….there is no reason for me to worry about that. There is no point in worrying about things outside of your control, it eats you away till you have nothing left. Isn't that right?"
He said looking at his bloody hands, he breathed in as he slowly stands up again. If he is trapped inside "The Cultivation Tower" game but in VR, why not enjoy it? After all, this is why they must have placed him here. As his eyes look at the distant city one last time, he turns around and walks deeper into the forest. Grabbing the horn rabbit on his way, its horn will prove to be useful.

He recalls his first-ever guide of the game, his more popular video.
Hope you enjoy the chapter, will post a bit more before playing Elden Ring and studying for a test for Monday. As you continue to read you will notice a difference in chapter length, that is because in the early chapters I am trying to find my ideal chapter length.
