More to the secrecy

Ronald was quick to grab the door, seeing as she wanted to close it back, opening it wide enough for her to appear in full view, her eyes cautiously looking at him, her hands clutching the sides of her dress. He didn't know why but the act alone aroused him...….somehow!

Cathy took a deep breath in and out as she stepped out of the bathroom, closing its door before returning her gaze to look at Ronald who didn't break his gaze away from her. She tried as much as possible to read his facial expressions but the man gave off none. He was simply staring at her with a blank expression which only made her more uncomfortable. She wanted to know what he was thinking, should she start figuring out how to get out of this mess or was she totally doomed?

"Are you going to get rid of me?" Ronald heard the girl ask him even though her voice was low he caught on to every word she said as he now walked closer to the girl who didn't bother taking any step back as her back was comfortably resting on the door right now but that didn't stop her feets from making an involuntary movement towards the back.

Cathy could feel herself holding her breath as the man placed one of his hands on the door just above her head at where she stood and right now, she felt totally small compared to him. Was she the short one or was he really that tall? Cathy could only wonder. She watched as his other hand went ahead to trail the sides of her face down to her chin as he now held it with two of his fingers. her eyes didn't leave his as every part of her body shivered inwardly.

"Now why would I do that?" Ronald answered her question and he saw the girl's tensed shoulder lesen up. She had been worried about that? This girl still didn't believe he had feelings for her did she? Because if she did she would not have been worried he would simply get rid of her just because she was now aware of who he really was.

"I think I will have to prove to your stubborn head how serious I am about you Catherine" he whispered the words in her ear and at once she felt her heart jump making her wonder why. His words were as sweet as honey making her fear if what he had been saying all this while about what he had for her was actually true. That only meant she had blindly bargained the wrong deal with this man.

Ronald brought his face to look at her and Cathy could see his eyes change from its normal inky dark to a red one. Her eyes slightly widened as she was not yet used to this type of thing. She looked beside her towards the side he had not blocked with his hand yet but before she could even say she wanted to walk away to that direction, she saw Ronald place his other hand on the door this time way below her head so she wouldn't think of escaping.

"How were you able to hide this from so many people?" Cathy was curious. She was sure no one even knew about these creatures and their very own king was one. It made her question how that was possible because she knew, if only a single soul should have the slightest knowledge about it, the whole world would end up knowing so how was it even possible?

This situation only made her remember Marie. Marie too wasn't human but no one seemed to know about them but theirs was completely believable as they lived deep under the seas but these here.... What had Nick called them? Vampires.....who would have thought their own king was one?

"The royal bloodline has come from a long line of vampires without a single soul finding out about it, you don't expect it to be my rein that everything will fall apart do you?" Ronald said posing it as a question but it only confused her the more. If the entire royal bloodline throughout all these years have been vampires...how come no one had found out about them. That was completely unbelievable ...that wasn't possible unless they have been getting rid of anyone who found out about them that is not of their kind. That was the only way something such as this could be achieved.

Cathy frowned upon this realization. They would have gotten rid of a lot of people. Ronald already knew what she was thinking as he was watching her closely While he slowly hummed to confirm her doubts.

"But if the entire royal bloodline are vampires, why go to such lengths to hide yourselves?" It didn't make sense to Cathy as she believed they had the authority and power and no one would dare to condemn them even if they were to find out.

Cathy saw Ronald laugh at her words. "If you are ready to start a never ending war we can make some adjustments" Cathy saw him smile. The usual Ronald-like smile that didn't reach his eyes.

Cathy pondered on his words as she remembered what Marie had also told her. He was right. It was something that would never sit well with the humans while they would stupidly start a riot that would put the lives of so many people in danger all in the name of protecting their race.

"And we both know who would have the upper hand" Ronald added with a sinister smile and Cathy knowing she couldn't argue on this one didn't comment on it. These creatures were unbelievably really strong. And from what she had learnt this night, they couldn't be easily killed. That was, he they could even be killed.

Cathy hesitated a little but she was really curious. " The way you were hurting him....is he going to be alright?" Cathy asked and Ronald didn't miss the curiosity that lurked in her question.

"Why? Are you worried about my brother? I should warn you if you have feelings for my dear brother he will only tear your heart into shreds" Ronald said offering her a charming smile but Cathy didn't find the joke funny. That man literally tried to kill her!

Cathy knew she wouldn't get answers from Ronald without him teasing the life out of her and she wasn't ready for that tonight. It had been a long night anyways. "I am feeling sleepy your highness if you would just step away I want to go to bed"

"Nonsense!" Ronald was quick to discard. He was enjoying her company and wasn't ready to release her yet. "I will answer your questions but…" Cathy saw him trail off and she would have refused but the curiosity in her got the better of her.

"What is it?" Cathy asked almost impatiently. For some reason it excited her to find out more about these creatures even after all that had happened this night.

"Give me your blood"
